Really enjoyable vlog, Stuart. Thank you. My God...those aquamarine colours of the water when the light catches them against the sand are something else.
Harris and Lewis is a stunning island so many great places for photography. Myself and my wife were there last August and only had a few days of decent weather the rest was just very wet ☔️. Got some wild swimming done as well as some photography 👍Will definitely go back sometime though.
Loved the video Stuart, these Scottish videos always make me homesick. Enjoyed this one no bull, thanks for that, Really like the shots of the patterns in the sand but when I saw the minimalist images I was torn between the two styles, fantastic and thanks for sharing god knows when I will get back home, but I know where I am going when I do.
Since first seeing you on the The Photography Pubcast Stuart, you have become one of my favorite vloggers. Excellent images and video presentation style. Best regards - Robin
Good vlog with good images and I'm with you on the rainbow shot. It looks good with the still foreground, sometimes you can have too much going on! You may not have had great light but as the saying goes, a bad day in the Utter Hebrides is better than a day not there :-) or something along those lines LOL
What a beautiful place to be when the weather gods are being kind to you, though like with every other location around the UK, those occasions seem to be quite rare. So pleased for you all that you finally got some half decent light to shoot in and the resulting images look fabulous. Another place to add to my list of locations I must visit at some point.
Cracking images Stuart particularly the rainbow shot. I think you reached the right decision not to combine the two exposures, it looks fantastic. The long exposures look great too, something I've not tried myself on a sandy beach yet and must give it a go.
Thanks Colin yeah long exposure isn’t something I normally do a lot of as the subject has to really suit it, however this beach is definitely one of the best for it
Great set of images Stuart, particularly like those last long exposures. Such an amazing location, I’m hoping I will be back there myself later in the year. Sam
Just happened across your video here. It occurred to me I think it was your shop window I looked in over Christmas when we stayed at Keswick caravan site. Next time I visit I'll pop in and say hello. Just subscribed.
I really like your images Stuart! The comparison images were both great as it was hard to come to my own conclusion which one I thought was better. But I would take the left image even though it did have a lot going on. CHEERS from NC USA!
You got some fantastic images there Stuart, I especially like the first shot. Pleased that the weather finally broke and gave you some better light, just a pity that it took so long. Harris certainly is a great location.
What a fabulous collection of images Stuart, you certainly deserved the break in the conditions. In terms of the choice of the two images you discussed, I liked the one you preferred as there was still a little bit of wave action whilst the colour and texture of the sand in the foreground was preserved. All great images though and would be well happy with any of those
Thanks Jim that’s kind of you, yeah it was one of those images which I didn’t really realise at the time would work out so well, think it was the rushed nature of it and being preoccupied with what I’d planned to originally shoot! Worked out great in the end 😀
Lovely video, thanks for making it, you make it look so beautiful. Just wondering as well, was the blu bag behind you on the beach, a camera bag? if so, what make is it please?
Thanks Richard, I’ve two bags the blue bag is an f-stop Tilopa, I only really use that if I’ve got all my video equipment with me and I’m not walking far as it’s a really big bag. Most of the time I use a shimoda action x30
@@StuartMcGlennon brilliant, thank you. I’m in the market for a new camera bag, I love the shimoda design, but I want something a bit colourful, the green and blue just don’t do it for me 😩
I think if you look on the shimoda website the explore series have one in aqua? Got to be honest though they’re leaps and bounds better than the f stop stuff, not even close
My new favourite landscape photography channel,I only wish that I had discovered it earlier.
Cheers Richard really appreciate that, thanks for watching glad you enjoyed it :-)

Love colour balance of the golden sand and sun lit mountain. Contrasts blue sea perfectly 😃
