I disagree with abandoning the black cap. Being in two positions puts you in a good position to make kills, especially in Prog caps. Also just holding that one cap is a single hold for 3 extra troops. Also the cap defenses make those troops far more valuable than they would be on any other tile. I don't think you consider abandoning caps until later when the trades start getting really big and you're thinking about doing a run

At 23:00 you could have removed red from the left side of the board, taken reds cap and then held two bonuses from the cap and one other field. I think that might have been stronger
