You know it's sad when a remake for Mega Man X in Minecraft, a game that is in 3D, plays better than Mega Man X7

Mega Man X7 has a problem in that the peeps at Capcom didn't know how to make a good 3D port of Mega Man X mechanics.
I sincerely believe they should have just made X7 2D. Even with they bad voice acting, a 2D X7 game would have been better.

I always imagined Vile as being misunderstood... He wasn't a maverick to begin with... That was solidified in Maverick Hunter X... His brain chip was damaged

Me too. But I think Minecraft has got so many content with too many block types and graphics that is not worth the hassle to edit and re-imagine every block in the game :/, but hey, at least the so called DLCs are more interactive.
As a huge mega man fan I gotta say I was dissappointed. 8 bucks for a short crossover that wasn’t even challenging
@@oxpuppy635 People do that regularly though, its definitely a lot but its not exactly like its unreasonable, the minigame is neat but at that point its just X1 3d, Minecraft isn't actually relevant

Funny how X's dash is the slide from the megaman series.
They really would've been better off adapting Classic Mega Man. This looks really slow, and maybe that slide could've been used to get through narrow areas.

@@57Digital why those road crushers are not working and just staring also when the bee blader falls the platform doesn't fall along like the original game but in the collaboration video that seemed to work

I didn't think a Minecraft remake of Mega Man X would be this good.
I just purchased this crossover pack and beaten the adventure world it came with. Even though I do have some minor nitpicks about like using bolts from the classic Mega Man when the bolts are not present in any of the Mega Man X games, but despite all that, I enjoyed it.
They could've used metals from x8

@@bigcammy007 DNA Souls probably would have worked best, they have an easily derezzed sprite, they have been used as a currency before as well(Xtreme 2)

I grew up playing the X games. This brings back memories. It's really well done

Nah, only at the start and before the zero's sacrifice (in the original megamn x) after armor carrier is destroyed vile is way to ez. Also he dies in the X3

I hope the switch version is optimized and this doesnt end up glitchy like the sonic DLC
As a switch owner who has played this, I can say that it runs fine on switch. The slower pace helps and its optimized. Found my preferred playable method of changing render distance and frame rate.
@@conallohaodain7921 Thank you fellow Switch player I got annoyed when the Sonic DLC decided to lag like crazy so knowing that it runs fine instantly makes this DLC worth it even more.

i'm so proud of this dlc, even though it's a short'ened 3D port of the game in bedrock, i'm still proud..... but the strange thing is that this dlc came out right when i have beaten mega man X(1) and started to play the whole mega man franchise....

That Chill Penguin fight was sick. I wish the ceiling was a bit higher in the SNES original, forcing Megaman to wall climb to spot him.

I like the idea, but this just seems too easy. The damage is way less than the original plus the armor isn't hidden like the original.

I'm aware of it being a joke but besides the case of Boomer, the cut marvericks mostly were picked so that they didnt have to make stage effects. since Sting Chameleon was the only marverick who can get set effect among the minecraft selection, he has a small pool of water by default. If they were to add Spark Mandrill however, they'd cut out Storm Eagle in favor of him and we're not even gonna talk about wether it would have the stage effect or not.

After seeing this it makes me wonder why capcom never bothered making a first person/third person megaman game.
The idea of a 3d megaman doesn't seem that hard to make.
Maverick Hunter X was an fps, but since that was 2000s megaman, it got canned.
There's just a lot of little things that bother me about this. Mega Man X is known for its fast pace, so no dash seems weird. Sliding doesn't count. You can't dash jump? No weapons after beating bosses or Light Capsules in the stages? The currency is screws from Mega Man 9 and 10? Why not metals from X8? Why is the level 2 charge shot here just the level 1 charge? Even with the Light Armor, there's no level 3 charge? Why are your buster shots so slow? Why doesn't Rolling Shield move on the ground? Why does X have a double jump? There's so much more, but this is just a really careless and confusing DLC. Maybe I'm being nitpicky, but I adore the Mega Man franchise, and I'd honestly rather play X7 than this if I want a 3D X game. For as bad as it is, at least it feels like Mega Man X. This should've been Classic or even Legends if you want a 3D Mega Man at a pace as slow as this.
Yeah it's weird they gave you access to all the weapons but didn't add all the bosses. I wasn't expecting it to be this scuffed after that piss poor Sonic pack but it is what it is.

When you exit the world and come back, the world will ask you if you want to return to the base.
EDIT: Seems to have been fixed now.
