  • One technique for when you can't recover and end up floating upside down (legs up), where there may be too much gas and buoyancy in your legs to swim into an upright position. Stephanie does a good job here by Inflating her BCD slightly to start to bring her chest and head up toward the surface, and then deflates her suit. Bravo!
    **Excess gas in the legs is a rare event. But knowing how to recover is good practice.

    the key is anticipation.....start to feel your feet become "floaty" and correct it before it gets out of control!

    That's all well and good while diving. I have a kitesurfing wetsuit tho, and I am somewhat afraid of this happening. It might be really difficult to flip around - without being able to breathe, and with an attached kite.
    Well, if everything fails, there always is a knife, but still.

    lol this was me yesterday! I did this like 5 times in the 40 min I was in the pool... :(
