Then politicians can't bribe people for votes with free stuff. The government is the worst at balancing a budget and prioritizing spending for what is important. The standard of education drops to zero when that happens.we have it in SAfrica ... you don't even need to have high marks to be accepted at universities. Between 20/ 30% on your subjects and you can go free to university. We have created stupid non functional students who get degrees that they actually don't deserve. Gov gives free computers to them cell phones free data. Absolutely all this to get beholden to this gov.
