I love you Bob Knight! I have lived in Indiana my whole life. I am now 46 years old and I can tell you there will never be another Bob Knight. I love this man and my child hood was fun because of him and Indiana Basketball. I am not a Duke fan at all but I respect the hell out of Coach K and how has did things the right way just like Bob Knight did. They never bought players they developed players in a 4 year college program and then they graduated. I love the old school ways. We need to get those values back. Most of this generation of kids are a bunch of spoiled punks. Not all but most.

    Two of the best coaches
Not because of their record on the court but because of how the players turn out to be in the future. All duke players and Indiana Bobby night coached kids turned to be very productive members of society( classy, respectful, educated, intelligent) two of the greatest men of basketball.

To me Coach Knight was a basketball wizard -- his Motion Offense with the right players was the hardest offense to defend. I used it on the high school level with great sucess. But besides that, Coach set high standards on and off the court for his players and held them accountable. A mom said her son when to IU because she knew Coach would take care of him on and off the court.

I used to think he dyed his hair, but I think he was just one of those lucky ones who didn't get a lot of gray hair, the last few years as his hair has thinned you can see some salt in there....his skin is more pale as he ages, but not many wrinkles....he always makes fun of his long nose and big ears,,,,I think he's a nice lookin' guy, his eyes sparkle and the one sided grin is nice! Good luck Coach K!

Lou Christensen Coach Knight didn’t have a problem recruiting kids to play for him. Won three National Championships in the process. He’s a legend who’s graduation rate amongst his players is some of the best in the history of collegiate athletics. Coached the 1984 Olympic team to gold. I played college football for a legendary coach as well. Getting yelled & cursed at was a “casualty of war”, like it or not. In the process, I learned a lot about teamwork, self discipline, accountability and hard work. Far too many “snowflakes” in today’s society. If you don’t like it stay home with Mommy. There’s always the theatre...

These two no longer have a relationship, they have a past. I think Coach Knight kindled that fire for Coach K that was already there, I feel Coach Knight deserves credit, which Coach K gave to him many times. But, when jealousy and pettiness creeps into a relationship, it's only a matter of time before that door is closed and one of the two has to walk away and say "never again!" That's what Coach K did when Coach Knight wasn't happy over a few remarks Coach K made in an article, he got his feelings hurt, then he snubbed Coach K the next time they saw each other at a very public event. Coach K could no longer take that type of abuse, he actually said "never again"....I was hoping that when Coach K announced his final season that Coach Knight would step forward, as of this writing I have not been able to find one word from Coach Knight, that's so very sad. But, in my own life, I had to do exactly the same thing Coach K had to do, one was with a family member and the other was just recently with a lifelong friend......you can only be mistreated and spat on so many times!

Guys like Coach K, Jim Calhoun, Bob Huggins, Tom Izzo, Jay Wright & others all great coaches that’s never been doubted but Bob Knight is the best coach in college basketball history #1 I know he could be a asshole but he always ran a clean program where Wooden had Sam Gilbert paying to get the best players. #2 Knights guys all stayed 4 years for the most part so he was able to get the best out of them. #3 he won National Championships with Steve Alford & Kent Benson great college players but not athletic enough in the NBA Knights best NBA player was Isiah Thomas after that he did have some but it was a major drop.

College sports has been RUINED with all the transfer BS and all the money they are throwing at the players for the side stuff. I just can't believe the times we are living in. It's tragic and unfathomable. I think Knight is lucky he died. He doesn't have to be around anymore to see this s#$t!
