    After watching some guy drill a 4x4 block of wood 3/4 of the way down in the center and through the side to intersect the down hole , I think I will do that instead of buying a metal stove that does the same . If I go out in the woods with a couple of these blocks of wood I do not have anything to carry out of the woods regardless of how light the metal ones are. Vire is an interesting folding stove and tripod stance. Good for car camping or cycle touring.

    • @richardk7379
      @richardk7379 4 роки тому +1

      Batteries take some kind of power to charge. They also take a lot of resources to make and are very heavy. You would be better off making a light weight stove out of 2 beer/pop cans (many videos out there). Then carry a little denatured alcohol that is available everywhere. Cheap, light and reliable.

      @@practicaldesigns In my experience if you start Enki with fire and you never turn the fan on it goes on burning as a non-electric gassifier (don't know if Biolite can do the same); I'm speaking about the large one, can't tell if the small one do the same

  • @SilverFireStoves

    Lots of misinformation and poor designs. #1,#4, & #5 are rocket stove designs missing important rocket stove design principles and appear to be potential fire-starting hazards and appear to have unstable cooking platforms. A primary rocket stove design principle is to incorporate low mass insulation, which all 3 examples lack. Stoves #2, #3 are not rocket stoves. They are TLUD forced air fan (FAF) stoves, which are not rocket stoves. Divide FAF Stove Teg (thermal electric generator) power in 1/2 though, they do not provide power claimed, since they can not run at peak power for meaningful durations and inexpensive solar battery packs provide superior charging performance compared to Teg stoves of this size. In summary, this best stove portable stove review is more Internet hot air and full of misinformation. SilverFire Off-Grid Stoves & Cookware

    I'm so tired of hearing the gimmick of a smokeless fire 😂 , people notice when the flame is strong there is barely any smoke to a fire ? notice when you choke up a fire with to much wood the fire then can't breathe properly and creates smoke which is also energy ? Learn how to make a proper fire for fuck sakes . So ill never have to hear about smokeless fires again lmfao i had to teach my buddy steven how to use his biolite 2 stove , keep in mind i had no prior experiences with any of these stoves yet showed him how to stop smoking it because that's all he was doing . So when companies claim "smokeless fire" it really is just a gimmick for sales . My buddy steven is now a believer 🤷‍♂️

    This is great! But it’s over 200.00 bones where I’m from on Amazon. For 200.00 I could hire a chef to come cook me dinner. It’s a bit of metal. Not a computer!!! Lower the price and I’ll get one. A machine prolly pumps out a 1000 or more in an hour. I’m talking about the first one. And they want us to spread the word. People are hurting right now no one and I mean no one is about to drop 200.00. Unless you are the 5 % of the planet who can through cash around. And the blue planet thing is gross to sell your product. There are companies pumping millions of gallons of waste/pollution and a ton of other crap into the environment. A little fire ain’t doing anything to hurt it. So stop using that card like they are saving the planet. That just irks me. It’s some pieces of metal you were charging outrageous amounts of cash for. When anyone can make one in shop class. ( I could not) but that’s not the point.

    1# clip. The reason why no one returns it because no one bought it or either already said it is already bad view and the viewer doesn't want to buy it another fact wtf why is it in so many pieces which I can grab food can just poke some holes in it than just simply make it bs portable with me any time
    2# clip. Does it really work if it does work why isn't it cheap for everyone to buy it around the WHOLE WORLD?
    3# clip. back it up didn't you say charcoal is bad but you said refined charcoal is good? Your burning wood for God sake for many guys burn woods in the wilderness and those are natural woods biofuel there as to be they become charcoal for your saying the charcoal you burn right there in the firewood you made is no good but saying your charcoal in this can is posed to help? Even thou you bought charcoal from another company they also have the same result but they were made in the right reason different which they are also from wood for they are just compressed charcoal for it is easy to make your own charcoal simple at your home either you want to go old school or new school that actually doesn't make different. This is for the rich idiot to buy into bs.
    4# clip. Not bad still can do it with a paint can and just cut a hole in food can for it is called wielding, but still kind of no still.
    5# clip. again with the same type of idea model? Seriously enough if this is only feeding the fire it is kind of pointless when you could of having big campfire already made bonfire right there
    I say number 2 seems more reasonable then the rest the bs because yes seeing that way it does seem the effort but if they can get it a wood stove biofuel for the house then yes they would of get more money that way because the north of U.S.A (not the in North American in the south but it might help certain region if you are not living in Florida or someplace that gets flooded then yes it is fine) if they did "made it bigger" they would have made the perfect back up generator that use biofuel but if this doesn't work pretty much I can say "fuck you this is piece of junk".

    The Kombuis is a cool mess kit! But I've already got a flat five piece mess kit. I'm also getting the Rocket King flat pack stove. It folds completely flat and is a rocket stove. The Vire did not impress me much. Although it folds flat and is light weight, it's very flimsy and it costs $90 before taxes or shipping and handling. The Rocket King cost $50 to $60, folds flat, and is only a fraction heavier than the vire. Camp stove 2 is great, but I think that tech needs more time before it gets really good, same goes for that sea/salt water power source.
