  • It's been four long years since Jon and Ridge last joined us on safari, but this year they were back for their second adventure with John X Safaris. Join us for Part 1, of this 2 Part series, as they join PH Ross "Stix" Hoole in pursuit of Sable, Roan, Impala, Waterbuck, Eland and Kudu. The action was fast and furious with breath-taking scenery and endless long-range opportunities. All the action. All the shots. Exciting hunting and much more... It’s Long Range Smokers...

Wow !!!!! The kid can shoot !! Very consistent too ! I am thinking he and Dad have a lot of time at the range practicing. It was fun to watch Dad & Son make picture perfect shots ! The PH was phenomenal !!

A very good video with two Americans that could shoot well, seem to respect the quarry and didn’t whoop, holler and high five after every shot. It was a joy to watch, all participants should be congratulated.

The wait is truly OVER, with part 2 yet to come!
Thanks ever so much for this video, folks.
Your plains are awash with game, the birds sing so beautifully and your clients seem to be genuinely humble people. One could not ask for more.
I watched, enthralled, for 27:06 minutes while Africa danced in front of my eyes.
Thanks again, to the John X staff, for their vision and desire to share.
Looking forward to part 2 already.
    God bless,
    Dave

Wynand De Winnaar absolutely ~ these guys are practicing more than anyone we know. The average long range hunter puts in a magnitude more work into his precision than the traditional hunter. It’s beautiful to watch it all come together on a hunt such as this.
