Good to see that your back and I know from personal experience Covid is awful and when you get it you can go into some dark places. Keep strong and love to hear what you think of our skipper. My opinion he doesn’t contribute anything verbally, gives the ball away a lot and rarely finds an attacking forward pass. Take care!
I generally agree with you there. I suppose he does offer being that holding player, keeping it tight, doesn't get drawn out of position (like lapslie used to) and doesn't get give away many fouls which always hindered us in terms of slowing the entire game down. He also doesn't seem to remonstrate with the ref which is good. I'll keep an eye on him this weekend. It'll be interesting to see how he does whilst paying particular attention to him! Thanks for your comments, really appreciated!
@ Appreciate your reply Steve, I might make a note of passes received, given, possession lost just for interest. I compare him not with Lapslie but with Kevin Dawson who was a real skipper, verbally, movement etc. Shame that he was hindered with a prolonged nasty injury. Kind regards.
@trevorlangridge yes, Dawson was a proper footballer. A bit like Darren Gardner , he could play, but plagued with injuries. I like to see if a player mis passes, does he mis place the next pass, as that's criminal..... It'll be a statto match!
