@@VictoriaRaechel very true but it also hurts to see animals being in the hands of someone who doesn’t want to listen bc it could make their animals 100% more happier and satisfied.
This video proves : advice doesn’t have to be given in a hateful way. Yes, some of her care wasn’t up to standard but if we hate on her the outcome won’t change. Honestly sometimes constructive criticism can come across in a rude way so I like how Victoria gave advice instead of saying what she could improve.
I actually really like Gabi and I am a huge hamster lover and have one (I have taken so much of your advice to make sure mine has the best life) but when she first got the hamsters they were in the same cage 😬 several people kept telling her they couldn’t be together and she eventually separated them. I hope she sees this video and hopefully makes some positive changes. Again, I like Gabi so this isn’t bashing. We have all needed education with our hamsters at some point.
If it weren’t for Victoria I wouldn’t have given the proper care for my hamster. I applaud Victoria for continuing to educate people. Part of the problem are pet stores. I used to watch Gabi’s videos and these hamsters aren’t her first. She had a hamster when she first started youtube. It’s disappointing to see that they aren’t living their best life.
I watched Gabi’s video and I was hoping someone would address this. Having improper rabbit and hamster care is bad if u didn’t know any better or u couldn’t afford to upgrade. She is well off and Lennon The Bunny had already given her advice. She has a whole room for her rabbits but still keeps them in the cage. The wire bottom flooring tho 😔 When the average person has bad pet care it’s better than influencers as the influence r giving an example to others of what they should do. Great video, Victoria 😃 💕

It truly does annoy me when big influencers get a pet and give it improper care because they have the ability to give that pet what many wish they could! Small pets aren't things you can just dispose of, they're living beings and deserve the same amount of attention and love as any other pet does. Some even require more than a dog or cat! Finding research is incredibly easy nowadays and you can learn so much in just a couple of days honestly. I really do hope they learn and fix their mistakes :( She did improve A LOT for her bunnies but the wire-bottom enclosure is probably one of the only issues I was able to see.. I'm sure she does love her pets, it's just that she wasn't provided the proper information! And that is okay, what's not okay is trying to prevent the criticism and avoiding any help. Loved this video and I am glad you talked on this topic 💞💕
Hamsters should live alone as they’re solitary and do best alone. Robos are not social in captivity like you may think as it’s completely different in the wild.
I am getting a hamster for Christmas if it wasn’t for you Victoria I would have got a pets at home cage with around 200sq inches but now I am making a 600 sq inch bin cage. I will try to get a bigger one soon after!

Victoria, you’re hamster cages are SO large and enriching to your hamsters. I was going to get a hamster impulsively and was watching UA-cam but then I came across your “where to get a hamster” video and that’s how I learned about pet mills and thanks to you I got a 110 quart bin cage for my hamster and now a yr later I have a 1,040 inch Christmas tree storage box bin cage filled with enriching items and a sand bath for my 1.5 yr old male hybrid hammy that I adopted! I also run a small hamster rescue for hamsters in need.
For God's sake that girl has the money to buy any enclosure she wants why couldn't she just go and get the niteangel. I mean at the very least for the size and then do a little bit of research....? I am saving so i can afford the niteangel bigger world; but for now I have the 450^2 " of floor space. Sad...
Hi Rachel I started watching you recently and you inspired me to get a hamster. I was gonna get those bad cages from the pet store but because I watched you my hamster has a 10 inch wheel and a 600 squares inches of floor space 💕💕love you
I had an associate in petco tell me today I shouldn’t get too many accessories in my enclosure because my hamster wouldn’t have any room to walk 😐😐I’m just like man if the employees don’t know, how many people have been given bad education
Today I accidentally dropped my new hamster on the floor, I’ve just get her used to my smell but now she won’t come out from her hideout, she won’t even eat snacks when I tried to give her some (trying to comfort her). What should I do?
honestly whenever i tell my friends the hamster minimum requirements they all think i’m crazy and they don’t believe me and honestly i seriously upset at all the hamster care tv shows and others advertise like eg.i keep seeing hamsters in hamster balls for the entire series and movies and people don’t see the problem with that
At first when I started thinking about getting a hamster I thought like other people, small cage, small wheel, any bedding will be fine, no sand bath…. ect. But I felt responsible because it’s a soul not a toy, so I decided to do a long search about hamster care, this was three or four months ago and until this day I'm still searching. I'm not going to bring a new friend to my house and make his life miserable for my personal happiness. Thank you so much Victoria you have been a great help for me, I will try to make the best environment for my hamster when I feel that I'm ready to own one, I promise you🤍🤍🤍🤍
Hi there!! Bunny parent here, In the animal care community I find is so so sad that people will not educate themselves about animal care. research, research, research.. it’s so important and detriment to the care and stability of your pet so truly thank you for educating
This may be a bit off topic- but does anyone else owns a dwarf hamster? If so, my question is- does his/her legs disappear when he/she runs on him/her wheel? Like- the little legs go so fast it's just like a piece of bread with eyes floating on a hamster wheel.
If I use kiln dried pine shavings, shredded white paper, and some hay would that be fine as the main bedding? (all mixed together) And are wood pellets ok for a small area of enrichment? I could also add another little box with succulent dirt if it’s safe. (the dirt and pellets would only be for enrichment but i’m not sure if I should so please anyone reply)
Hey so I am getting a hamster and I love your videos they really help. For my plastic box it is a little shorter than it should,be because I can’t get a bigger buy a bigger one will the hamster be Ok?
My mom got a hamster for me… she got a 5 gallon tank and there is a hide, food, water, a wheel, and bedding. After I did my own research I told her what my hamster really needs but she won’t listen. I am younger and I can’t drive and I personally don’t have much money and my mom won’t let me get a bigger enclosure. I told her that hamsters need much more and that the enclosure we have him in can stress him out. I don’t know what to do because she won’t listen to me. She said he’s fine, but he’s not. He’s very very sweet and he deserves better but I just don’t know what to do.
I consider this abuse. It’s neglect of having the proper care for the animals. When u get a pet u are taking responsibility to take care of that pet and u should do ur best to take care of them because u decided to take responsibility. Pets aren’t toys, I see so many fish and small animals given away for so cheap and people put a worth on them based on it when they actually require so much care and effort your not buying a toy ur taking the responsibility of caring for hopefully the rest of another being life. I don’t know why people try to down play it because they are small or cheap to get that doesn’t excuse the fact they need good care.
ugh..never heard of them but 9.5 million people have lol. influencers to me are a pain in the arse. usualy shallow vapid people who only care bout cash
could u guys help me on good cages to get i want a hamster i can’t find a big enough tank and don’t feel wire is a good option i am currently looking at the paw hut 3 teir idk how good wood is and can’t find any big enough bins
I'm lead to believe that people who provide such insufficient care haven't done any research at all. Even the most basic of Google searches will provide you decent care, at least. It's a constant uphill battle with hamster care education. Sometimes it feels like running in place Seeing people with nearly a 10 MILLION strong YOUNG audience spreading bad care makes me wanna bang my head on the wall
Oh yeah I heard a hamster before I tried to go out and buy all the stuff that they really need but I kept on getting yelled at because I cut it so I told my mom I can't have a hamster because she don't care about it
Is this normal because I just got my hamster a sand bath she’s about nine or so months old and all she does is dig in it and it looks like she’s eating it but I checked her mouth and she didn’t have any sand on it Also do you have any tips on how to keep bedding out of her sand bath cuz she’ll pick up bedding with her mouth and carry it to her sand bath
Been waiting for this hahaha I even told her to watch your videos. She is just extremely problematic in many ways but also with her poor hamster and rabbit care. Oh and not so fun fact: this girl actually had her two syrians living together for quite a while... I can guess what has happened now that she has two dwarves
Two months ago...I bought two hamsters, one for each kid. We put them both in a tiny store bought cage with one tiny wheel, a bland food, & we did not know to leave them alone during the day. My teenager fell in love with her own hamster, Rabies, & her brother's hamster, TNT. She started doing research on hamster care. She found Victoria's channel. We started watching together. I thought because I'd had hamsters as a child that I was good to go & doing everything right. I was wrong. We needed a bigger cage. They would need a bigger wheel as they got bigger, & two of them. They would need much more bedding than the one inch we put into that crap cage. We found out they couldn't live together for much longer. We started planning two larger cages. I started buying bigger wheels & hides, & expanding their diet. In the meantime, TNT escaped, sadly. We searched for a week & had numerous traps. Well....we only had to build one cage at that point. So we did, we moved Rabies into an 864 sq in. enclosure with 8 in. of bedding, a 12 inch wheel, dogwood branches & rocks from the yard, a HUGE SANDBATH, & we got rid of the water bottle & gave him a tiny bowl to drink from. Oh, & we gave the hamster ball to my five yr old to play with. He loves cramming it full of crap, & Rabies loves not ever having to be in it again. We learned about scatter feeding & sprays, & we now have a monthly meal worm subscription! ....and guess what- we are planning an even bigger enclosure that we are building in about two weeks. I've built my own multi chamber hideout out of craft wood planks, & I've ordered one of those long bendy bridges for the new cage. I even found a 6 pack of small bendy bridges for $12! That's $2 each! I was on a high from that, not even ashamed to admit it... ..and in our downtime, my kids & I are building a playground for Rabies that we'll set up within a walled-off area. The point to all of this is that most of us start out clueless...with that crap cage & ball (torture device) from the store, & there is no shame in learning & doing better. I know it's easy to get on the defensive when people are coming at you & telling you that you're messing up, but at the end of the day when it's just her & her hamster....how can she not want to change & do better for him/her? Rabies has me & my daughter wrapped around his tiny, little finger, & there's nothing (within reason) that I wouldn't do for him♥
I have LITERALLY spent hundreds of dollars on my hamsters and their enclosures since getting them a few months ago. To put it in perspective, you get $5 back at Petco per $100 you spend, and I've gotten 6 of those. That's $600 on two hamsters just at Petco. That doesn't include Amazon, sprays from online, Etsy, purchases of wood and things for my own makings from home depot and Lowe's, as well as purchasing two 75g tanks from people on for sale sites.... I just don't get the financial standpoint to not do your research and do WHATEVER you can possibly do in your means. Ugh.
This is why I don't like my job sometimes. I work at a large chain petstore and although I try to get people to buy a cage online or go to ikea for a detolf (our cages suck) they refuse and think "oh it's just a first pet". They even refuse my UA-camr recommendations for petcare... Like ma'am I'm just trying to help. This is a live animal and not a toy. Whenever I try to give proper care advice they think it's too expensive, they saw a person keep their hamster in a tiny tales cage and it seems happy, stuff like that. Or they say, "this is what I can afford". Then... don't get a hamster??? You wouldn't do this to your child, why are you doing this to a hamster? One of my customers watched a youtube video from an influencer and got a hamster. It ended up dying and she wanted another one. I flat out said no and told her what to fix. But she didn't fix it. Too many customers think seeds, vegetables, a sand bath, a proper sized wheel and more bedding is too expensive. But they have designer bags and other things. If they want an animal to entertain them then go to Toys R Us and find a zhuzhu pet.
I think part of the issue is the fact that stores sell improper supplies as well. If pet stores only sold over 600 SQ inch enclosures for hamsters they'd be forced to have to get proper supplies.
Very well done. It's not about bashing someone else. It's creating awareness like you do. I've learned a lot from you and my Tinker now is in a 55 gallon Aquarium. Her new wheel is arriving shortly (bigger, she grew) from the US. A 12 inch. She only gets fresh food and hopefully a better life span of happiness. Thank you for all you do!

I love how through this whole video you were extremely nice and just wanted to educate her instead of being hateful. We love that ❤️.
Thank you! I really try my best to be as kind as possible to someone especially because I know it’s hard to hear you’re doing something wrong sometimes.
@@VictoriaRaechel very true but it also hurts to see animals being in the hands of someone who doesn’t want to listen bc it could make their animals 100% more happier and satisfied.
Ah yes, reactions to pet youtubers. I hate seeing pets in such frustrating setups. Keep doing what you do!
It’s sad how people don’t do research about the animal! Just because there tiny doesn’t mean they deserve a tiny enclosure!
That little sigh when she small how small the hamster's cages were.
Anyone else love Saturdays because Victoria posts?! Love from a fellow Canadian Victoria❤️
Yes! I look forward to it all week.
🇨🇦❤️
I defo do!
me!!!!
Ditto.. me too!
as a bun mom im still traumatized from her bunny care and now she still doesnt do research on these hamsters😭
wasn't Gabi DeMartino also on Lennon the Bunny's channel because of her inexperienced & lack of research in bunnycare? or is this a different Gabi?😅
0:34
I Think everyone should start tagging gabby so she eventually sees this 💗
I watched Gabi’s video and I was hoping someone would address this.
I’m here because she saw this video and has tried to improve things for her hamsters! Thank you for giving advice and helping people to properly take care of their pets~~~
I went to school today and I saw someone saying they had 7 HAMSTERS HUH I was confused but worrying at the same time cause I was like how big is the cage how much bedding do you have are your seven hamsters together etc…
I have 6 Hamsters everyone has their own enclosure (well my hamsters have their own room😅)
Ok I'm officially obsessed with your hair😍
Oh thank you!!
I commented on that hamster care and I DIED when I saw this video.. THANK YOU!!!!
First with the bunny and now with a hamster. Seems like she doesn’t want to learn. Sad!
Im just 10 years ols and my parents wont let me get a proper cage or even a cage that is high enough for the bedding for my hamster but atleast your videos made me know the things i should do and shouldn't so hopefully ill try my best to give my hamster the best life
I have an idea hand your parents the phone and I’ll talk to them :)
@@MyMiniZoo my mom see hamsters as "a cute little vegetable eater" and thats it
@@lias_channel1733 maybe show her lots of the research you have done? I did to my mum and now she says I can upgrade. If you show her that you know what your talking about and that it's crucial then she will come around to the idea
@@lias_channel1733 hmmmm :/
@@lias_channel1733 tell her this “mom? Hey the wild/forest is really big right!! How big is my hamster cage?!! Super small…. So a bigger cage will suite a hamster and a small one stresses them out
i don’t understand why people don’t research before getting a pet? it’s the MAIN thing you need to do before getting a pet.. it also makes no sense why people think because their a pet they don’t need as much? like just because their smaller than other pets like dogs doesn’t mean they do not need anything. they actually need quite a lot.
You need to know where to look for information because even in the majority of books you can't find the info you find here!
@@nikiedewael3766 i know which sucks honestly, but there are a few books i used to read about hamsyers which have all the things you need to know about. and you also have the internet like watching youtubers who share how to make your hamster live the best life. i do think there should be more books and actual info to help tho.
yes i have a friend she gave her hamsters bad hamster care so i provided her your hamster tips and care and said she has to watch your vids for more info. Thank you so much for your tips its helped me alot trough my years of owning a hamster i am going to be upgrading my hammies cage.Love you ❤️
I'm glad she was willing to change her care!

I love how through this whole video you were extremely nice and just wanted to educate her instead of being hateful. We love that ❤️.
Thank you!
you have helped me take better care of my hamster and he is soooo much happier. thank you so much!!
Hıı Victoria!!! Thank you for the new videoo!! Nice 👍☺️Love from Greece
Thank you for watching! ❤️
My dwarf hamsters use to get along but now they fight I've separated them before things got worst but why do they fight
Hansters are solitary animals, meaning when they have other hamsters with them they’ll fight. 💜
@@lexTS89 but I thought that robruvski can get along??
Hamsters should live alone as they’re solitary and do best alone. Robos are not social in captivity like you may think as it’s completely different in the wild.

I am getting a hamster for Christmas if it wasn’t for you Victoria I would have got a pets at home cage with around 200sq inches but now I am making a 600 sq inch bin cage. I will try to get a bigger one soon after!
it's great you're working towards upgrading!
Thank you for making this video and talking so calmly, whilst giving advice. I feel people shutdown when people attack them and are less likely to change their care.
That cage is WAY too small… most likely around 200 square inches
Ohhhh I like this video! I do like any of your reacting videos x
Thanks for covering this! 💛🍁🎃
Thanks for the support!
To me, I never liked Gabi and I didn't think she would do well on this. If you need BEYOND hamster care, go to Victoria Rachel!
I love your new hamsters 😆😆
There are many times when I don't understand the contents well because there are no Korean subtitles (I'm not good at English), but I get help every time I visit.👍👍👍
im so glad and grateful you're here on youtube to help educate ppl who dont hv the right knowledge of hamster AND other pets care, thank u so much for educating so many ppl to improve their animal's care victoria
I dislike people who call themselves 'animal lovers' and borderline abuse them
My mom talks about how much she loves dogs and that she’s a dog lover but then she yells at my dog for literally walking 🥲
I'm glad you could come across the channel! Sounds like you have a very happy hamster!
I was gonna get those bad cages from the pet store but because I watched you my hamster has a 10 inch wheel and a 600 squares inches of floor space 💕💕love you
Her name is Victoria:)
I'm glad you could avoid a small petstore enclosure!
I had an associate in petco tell me today I shouldn’t get too many accessories in my enclosure because my hamster wouldn’t have any room to walk 😐😐I’m just like man if the employees don’t know, how many people have been given bad education
I love your videos soooooo much thank you for uploading yay early !
Thank you for watching 🥰
Today I accidentally dropped my new hamster on the floor, I’ve just get her used to my smell but now she won’t come out from her hideout, she won’t even eat snacks when I tried to give her some (trying to comfort her). What should I do?
I would leave them to calm down and then start the process over again
Oh thanks for the suggestion
Btw, I love ur videos! ❤️
honestly whenever i tell my friends the hamster minimum requirements they all think i’m crazy and they don’t believe me and honestly i seriously upset at all the hamster care tv shows and others advertise
like eg.i keep seeing hamsters in hamster balls for the entire series and movies and people don’t see the problem with that
Hey, Victoria! I have a question! Can I do bath bonding with my hamster without any like uhh blankets or whatever you use?
At first when I started thinking about getting a hamster I thought like other people, small cage, small wheel, any bedding will be fine, no sand bath…. ect. But I felt responsible because it’s a soul not a toy, so I decided to do a long search about hamster care, this was three or four months ago and until this day I'm still searching. I'm not going to bring a new friend to my house and make his life miserable for my personal happiness.
Thank you so much Victoria you have been a great help for me, I will try to make the best environment for my hamster when I feel that I'm ready to own one, I promise you🤍🤍🤍🤍
I'm glad you decided to do research first! and I'm happy I've been able to help you!
Hi there!! Bunny parent here, In the animal care community I find is so so sad that people will not educate themselves about animal care. research, research, research.. it’s so important and detriment to the care and stability of your pet so truly thank you for educating
Even something like a fish you should do research!
Yes! Fish need pretty serious care as well and they’re probably the most neglected pets unfortunately.
Thank you for responding!
EARLY! Congrats on 515k YOU DESERVE IT! 💖
Thank you!!! 😄❤️
This may be a bit off topic- but does anyone else owns a dwarf hamster? If so, my question is- does his/her legs disappear when he/she runs on him/her wheel? Like- the little legs go so fast it's just like a piece of bread with eyes floating on a hamster wheel.
The fact all of these UA-camrs buy an aquarium not big enough 😂😂
I know it's a bit different from what you normally do, but could you do a review of the hamster cages in the Sims 4 my first pet stuff?
I want a Hamster I can afford it it's just my parents won't buy anything that a hamster really needs
I'm back again to remind you there are only 23 days left until I get my hammy!!
Hi tori I just got a new cage and it has 1012 square inches of floor space is that ok for uk 🇬🇧
could u guys help me on good cages to get i want a hamster i can’t find a big enough tank and don’t feel wire is a good option i am currently looking at the paw hut 3 teir idk how good wood is and can’t find any big enough bins
I'm lead to believe that people who provide such insufficient care haven't done any research at all. Even the most basic of Google searches will provide you decent care, at least.
It's a constant uphill battle with hamster care education. Sometimes it feels like running in place
Seeing people with nearly a 10 MILLION strong YOUNG audience spreading bad care makes me wanna bang my head on the wall
I literally have a 40 gallon tank and I’m not a famous internet person lol
Oh yeah I heard a hamster before I tried to go out and buy all the stuff that they really need but I kept on getting yelled at because I cut it so I told my mom I can't have a hamster because she don't care about it
Omg once i saw the video yesterday i knew that it was going to catch the attention of a hamster/rabbit owner
Do you remember me? And btw how's everyone doing? :)
Do not get a flying shower it is not a good weel I am a hamster owner
Is this normal because I just got my hamster a sand bath she’s about nine or so months old and all she does is dig in it and it looks like she’s eating it but I checked her mouth and she didn’t have any sand on it Also do you have any tips on how to keep bedding out of her sand bath cuz she’ll pick up bedding with her mouth and carry it to her sand bath
Digging is perfectly fine and is part of an enrichment for them. You'll just have to sift the sand to remove bedding :)
Ok thanks!
Hi again lol idk if you will see this but my hamster i feel like has been a little bit more inactive lately, do you know what might be wrong
Been waiting for this hahaha I even told her to watch your videos. She is just extremely problematic in many ways but also with her poor hamster and rabbit care. Oh and not so fun fact: this girl actually had her two syrians living together for quite a while... I can guess what has happened now that she has two dwarves
i literally gasped when i saw those itty bitty tanks next to each other.
My hamster lives a golden life (he is free roamed)
We learned about scatter feeding & sprays, & we now have a monthly meal worm subscription! ....and guess what-
we are planning an even bigger enclosure that we are building in about two weeks.
Rabies has me & my daughter wrapped around his tiny, little finger, & there's nothing (within reason) that I wouldn't do for him♥
Living for the cat purrs at the end 😻, I hope she does listen to the advice and research the animal care better 💕
Not me screaming at the screen whenever I see though cage lol
Ugh.
Yes! And there are many cheap DIY options too, so money should not be the problem either.
Can you do a video a safe food and unsafe food for rabbit please
How do I get my hamster to not barrier its food bowl
She doesn't even have a lid on those tanks!
Ooh I didn’t notice that 😮
lol my kids hamster cage is bigger than that
Why can’t people just take proper care of these little cute things 🥺
I wish I knew :(

Very well done. It's not about bashing someone else. It's creating awareness like you do. I've learned a lot from you and my Tinker now is in a 55 gallon Aquarium. Her new wheel is arriving shortly (bigger, she grew) from the US. A 12 inch. She only gets fresh food and hopefully a better life span of happiness. Thank you for all you do!
