Funny how some words are lost in translation sometimes. At a certain point, the coach said “tem que chegar” which was translated to “enough”. Because “chega” means “enough” in certain specific circumstances. But “tem que chegar” is a reduction from “tem que chegar junto” which means something like “move forward keeping the pressure “. In general, the translation was pretty good and accurate.

@@cristianomurbachpires1575 Most def, and it's kinda refreshing to have an elite fighter, (regardless of division), be as hilarious, (both unintentionally as well as deliberately hysterical sometimes, who is then also such a mild-mannored gentle giant who doesn't do a whole lot of trash-talking, (and not only because he cant speak english). He reminds me alot of Thiago Santos, who was a skilled and technical striker, who had devastating ko-power which he successfully managed to translate that power from his days dominating MW up to LHW. He too was a huge MW and also similar to Alex - he didn't get into mma until later in life. Sadly despite giving Jones without question his toughest fight, (until the Reyes fight), but suffered horrific knee injuries that massively hampered his ability to compete against other elite LHW's. He without question would at some point become champion at 205 if not for those injuries, and once he came back he was simply a shadow of his former self going forward, that lack of explosive power that managed to spark out prime Jan with. Prime Santos was a terror, and yet Alex is even bigger, even more technically sound and skilled, with even more ko power. All this makes Poatan somehow even more terrifying than prime Thiago was.

The difference is when Israel tagged him he caught him off guard by chance, also he waited till the last seconds to do that...on the other side poatan decided he was going to knock Izzy out in the 5th round...he did exactly that while Izzy could not do the same for any round...😬 that’s two stoppages for poatan I don’t care if he knocked him out at wal-Mart or McDonald’s but he’s put him away twice...as he said himself”it must be hard for him” about his first ko win against Izzy
