- Taribo West answers some questions from his early start in his football career to help empower Fresh Talents youths players. Fresh Talents is looking to raise players to replicate that generation of players.

Taribo West was feared and respected all over Africa for his tough defending and dedication to the Super Eagles. His type of defender is rare. He was right about how talented his generation of Super Eagles players were and how it ended sorely in 2002 when some of them were dropped for no reason after qualifying Nigeria to the 2002 world cup. The Super Eagles haven't been the same since. He really spoke very intelligently. I was sad to hear him say Rashid Yekini died with bitterness because of the NFF. How sad!

It is good listening to him speak and i am happy he mentioned about how good players retired and angry but i was not happy that he did not mention the person who caused it. Wonderful that he is still strong and many should learn from him. The Interviewer should also learn to be fluid, she is just too stiff and made it look like an interrogation instead of a conversation. Please, improve but in all....kudos. I am a sincere Nigerian

Some of the issues, West is pointing in regards to the Nigerian National Football Federation at the time, were the main reason why, Nigeria didn’t won The World Football Championships in 1994 and 1998. Period ! And we all know that ! Hope that things are changed, within the Super Eagles Football Federation in present times, but from what I can understand from him, there is not lots of progress. Nigeria could’ve easily been, the first African country, to ever win The World Football Championship. It’s sad, really, really sad !

Taribo is very well spoken and expresses himself intelligently. What is the name of the lady interviewing him?
The interviewer is mechanical and inflexible in her delivery. Should have done more background work so as to flow and blend with the interviewee. We would have had a better blend . Reading those questions nstead of churning them out in discussion like manner makes it a monologue. I suggest more of these interviews with our sports legends but more research and background work and more passionate and engaging delivery as a knowledgeable host. However, keep up the good work.

Please, let her know when the guest is speaking she should quickly take a look at the next question and memorize it or paraphrase it and ask the guest without reading.
