i just can't imagine the pain you get knowing you just effed up your precious car, having in mind many of those are retro classics just breaks my heart watching this :(((
I am from Canada but lucky enough to have a duel citizenship with Switzerland cause my father is from there! He told me how he would do hill climbs in his NSU TT :) sounded like fun! This is awesome!!
I love how the Clio at 3:15 keeps holding the gas... :D Also, you captured some amazing footage, when I go to watch a hillclimb or a rally, I never see anything interesting, some spins maybe, but not crashes like that :/
@RamonMerjenburgh Me too, therefore you will found only less crash's in my videos - for me the SOUND is the important thing. The hardest one at 3:20 :.-((
They get to practice the track once or twice right? Also, that Merc that crashed and the one driving a little bit after it. Are they the same one? Nice video.
It is actually a manual, if you look behind the steering wheel (s)he also has paddle shifters as well as the selector lever you see seemingly moving by magic.
First of all: thanks for the clip. Really top class. But I gotta say... Some crashes are normal mistakes that can happen when you push it to the limit. Some others are just caused by inexperience (maybe young drivers? I guess the Astra that crashes on the first corner is driven by one -.-). But some of the crashes seem to me to be caused by not knowing the course!?! Did they test it before the run?
"very best scenes in a shortly summary. " ... yes, indeed. The video was not too short. What I really liked was the original sound (no earbusting, loud music). Very good. But ... in many scenes I would have enjoyed it even more to watch a few seconds longer to see the outcome, the result ... could he/she make it, save the car ... or how did the crash end up ... Anyway - thanks for uploading.
@TheS1PikesPeak It's not a person at a Hillclimb Event. He is a licencied driver with 6 years experience and racing in the swiss hilclimb championship. Brake problem on the GT-R caused this accident...
yeah that sounds about right, it had to be the quick direction changes. i think it also has to do with a high centre of gravity and really grippy tires. it still looked very strange to me.
@14energy 0:24 bad, 0:43 bad, 1:10 bad, 1:54 very bad, 5:54 bad... ;-) Friend, this is an extract of more than 10,000 clips (one year) Check the vids on my channel for the normal Hillclimb Action.
An alle die ihr "liebstes Stück" stark beschädigten:Augen nach vorne,es wird schon wieder!* Nur Mut und Fleiß wenn der Zahnriehmen reisst! Und los gehts....
312° Camshafts, ITB's, rised Compression Ratio, high Octane Fuel, lightened and pecision balanced Crankshaft, Flow optimized cylinder head - and Valves, lightened Pistons and Conrods. And finally beeing an OPEL Kadett C Coupè ! :)
He's not cheating. If you look carefully, you can see him shift into second with the gearshift (sequential manual)...but look even closer and you'll notice that he also has a paddle shift system behind the steering wheel. Kind of like WRC cars of a few years ago, he has the stick there as a backup in case the paddle shifter stops working.

Yes mate, there is Hillclimbchampionship in Switzerland.
This weekend starts the fastest race at St. Ursanne, next weekend the race at Oberhallau.
One of the best racing compilations on the Internet. Thank you!
One of the better videos on youtube. Keep it up man, I've only just discovered your channel and I already love all the videos.
I am from Canada but lucky enough to have a duel citizenship with Switzerland cause my father is from there! He told me how he would do hill climbs in his NSU TT :) sounded like fun! This is awesome!!

hot damn! thats just Epic! thanx for puttin this up!!
They can change gears by the knob or by the flap paddles, if you hit a flap paddle the knob moves and vice versa.
That GTR made me cry:-(
Poor Skyline R35.
You did it again!
Terrific video! Thanks!!
I seen a Lancia S4. . . That's all I needed.

Why?
Hillclimb stayed legal in Switz, because they couldn't deny it's the best motorsport. Plus they have THE best venue for such events.
Nice vid thanx for posting.Those Mercedes sounded like sweet mechanical music lol.I still think the little Opels make great looking race cars.
Defective steering linkage...
Bel video e ottimo audio !!
1:37 Michael Knight and KITT are now racing in hillclimbs?
djmhyde Hehe, Michael has driven, not KITT... ;)
Pure sound !!! Wonderful !!!!!!!!!

Great job dude, as your usual....
Where abouts in Switzerland are these held? Would love to see one.
Love the sounds!!!
I like how all the old vw's just bounce off of everything unscathed
I love the introduction!
so sad to see many beautiful cars totaled.
lots of near misses too...
@fryanventu It is from the whole season, not just one race.
@TheS1PikesPeak

nice cars u got there, very good find, subscribed!
Superb video.
what is under the hood of that 1st evo??? sounds like a beast
I didn't want to live anymore when the Alfa Sprint and Merc DTM cars wrecked, but felt strangely satisfied when the Civic did.
nice compilation :)
It looks like he's shifting with the paddle on his steering wheel rather than the lever. You can see the same thing in many in-car WRC videos
awesome vid....... When the Nissan GTR crashed that was the best...
Fantastic!!! Good job!!!
Terrific your video, congratulations once more !
Just bloody awesome!
Its just sequential shifter. If you look behind the steering wheel he switches from using the knob to the paddles.
PERFECT video !!
Ye I know.
I've already seen a lot of your videos.
They are really nice!
What was wrong with that Golf at 2:24 ?
@teggggR
Check "ua-cam.com/video/K1zkFt2WGdA/v-deo.htmlm32s" for another Cameraman...

Very good video.....however, I thought that motorsports were illegal in Switzerland?
Yes there are, just look at the left hand side behind the steering wheel, down paddle. This is a common setup in rally cars.
exelent video gracias por mostrarlo
3:24 Fail
Loving the kadetts
@MPZRACEVIDEO
Renault supercinq (super 5). Renault 5 is the previous model.
Oh thats pretty cool never knew they could do that
4:01 did he keep going or did he blow the clutch on that opel?
@Aonaki12345 it's Alfa romeo sprint
Alfa Romeo 155 Q4 or 155 ITCC Edition?
Is that Mercedes V8 a flat-plane or cross-plane crankshaft? It sounds like both at certain points.
is that a familia Gt-r or just a 323?
simply awesome !
312° Camshafts, ITB's, rised Compression Ratio, high Octane Fuel, lightened and pecision balanced Crankshaft, Flow optimized cylinder head - and Valves, lightened Pistons and Conrods. And finally beeing an OPEL Kadett C Coupè ! :)
great video
Ca. 99.99% Das ist halt eine Compilation aus ca. 200 Stunden Videomaterial
Sometimes it's not about being the fastest, it's about lasting till the end of the track!
