Likewise. I have been the beneficiary of your rifle videos for a few years now but you said it well. I have purchased my 1st over/under this year and headed out to Capitol Skeet here in Austin Tx to observe, learn, and shoot. And one thing always happens when I go. That I am gratified by the camaraderie of folks that I meet and their willingness to help me. It's really amazing!
@@Jeff_Seely I’ve been so impressed with the people on the skeet/trap/sporting clays range. Everyone is always willing to loan you stuff, tips and tricks. Helping out with little pointers here and there etc. it’s a different world I’ll say.!
Very interesting! My shotgun has a bore diameter of .740. So if i am thinking about this correctly, an improved cylinder choke in my gun would be equivalent to a cylinder choke in the .730 bores you referenced. Does that sound right? Also, a 20 gauge has a typical bore size of .615, does that mean that a 20 gauge cylinder will pattern tighter than a 12 gauge full choke at the same distance? Its pretty confusing to me. Any insight would be appreciated, i do love what your doing here! its right down my ally, I've been wondering about this topic since I started shooting.
It can be mine bending trying to figure it all out. The “standard” cylinder bore is .730 but I’ve heard of barrels being .015 larger. This can cause issues with chokes because they can shave off the outer wall of the wad. I’ll cover all this in the upcoming series.
Just my opinion, but if I were shooting dove I’d use 6 to 7.5 lead shot. You can shoot steel out of a modified choke, but nothing tighter unless you use a Muller choke.
@@vaughnprecisionI have no choice but to use steel in CA and only #6 bring them down we have lots of ring neck urasian doves and they are much bigger, my concern was will steel shot damage this specific brand of choke since it has ports
Love your to the point no bs tutorials! Thanks I’ve learned a great deal from you !
Fantastic . Thanks . Master class shooter recommendations led me to researching rhino chokes
Well done, patterns look solid. Good to see these different Elite choke constrictions on paper.
Lots more to come.! Thanks for watching, we really appreciate it and the comments to
I imagine this will directly translate over to bird hunting. Something I'm hoping to start next year.
Yes for sure it will
Outstanding Curt! I look forward to the series and benefits of my learning.
Thank You sir.! I hope it all works out well for new shooters. That’s always been the main goal of this joint effort

Where did that Zoli barrel come from on your work bench!?
Is the G2 MOD .715 good for dove hunting out of berreta A400 using steel shot #6? Is safe for steel shot?
