- Due to popular demand John is heading out on tour again this May as Fischer-Z Solo with his ‘Celebrating Red Skies’ show.
He will be featuring songs from the Red Skies Over Paradise but he will also be playing all the hits you know and love as well as a few very special rarities and some audience requests.
There will be a live Fischer-Z Solo album for sale exclusively at the shows, preceded by digital singles, artwork and videos.
Cruise Missiles was written in 1980 when Cold War politics had a big effect on the European state of mind. Watts wrote the ‘Red Skies Over Paradise’ album describing the way people felt at that time. There was fear and there were threats. One of big issues was the stationing and targeting of Cruise missiles. As Europe moves into a new Cold War era, Cruise Missiles are a fact of life and the fear is back.
The energy and tension of the political situation is reflected in the new live recordings about to be released by Fischer-Z. The first is the live re-imaging of Cruise Missiles; as energetic and relevant today as the original version was in 1981.
