In a good golf swing there is a fair bit of upper arm rotation to the left right as you have finished the transition to the lead side. You don't just drag the hands through with the hips, once the transition had moves your trunk (spine) towards the lead foot heel the lead arm should be about parallel to the ground. At that point both upper arms should be rotating counter clockwise (for the right handed golfer). Many people that have the club too laid off are not properly rotating the upper arms. We have found early upper arm rotation is going to provide better results for most people as opposed to saving the club face at the end with a lot of forearm rotation.

Hello, how to see shallowing in this drill? Cheers!

Great question - we didn't focus on that concept in the description here . Around the transition as the clubhead moves from going to the right to moving to the left you want to get full contraction of the infraspinatus muscle - this is a muscle that connects the right upper arm to the shoulder blade so that when you contract it the bicep rotates away from the body (external) and the elbow will move into the body. We will be posting some additional videos shortly that highlight how this is a key muscle to us in controlling the steepness and shallowing of the shaft as the club head changes direction.
