Caught Ohio on the SSB yesterday. It was quick and furious. I think we are going to see better propagation on the horizon. When it does it runs strong. Talked to Ohio on 12watts pep. Someday John it will bounce in the right direction. I just was hooking up an old President RA144 I just received an hour before the skip came in and that was my first contact. I thought I had my shoes on and didn't. LMAO. Wanted this RA144 for my field radio in the mtns. Going to fix it in a waterproof box with the correct accessories and battery. I missed you when you were talking into wis I just had to tell ya that the 444 in wis is one my farthest "locals" I talk at when conditions permit he real close to 85 air miles from me last I heard he was running moonraker 4 on big tower Good to hear your flat was working that well and lord you found more Wis operaters in 5 min then I have in last 14 years lol. You have a crazy pileup going on john enjoy that beam it's really making a huge difference for you. Proof that you don't need big watts a good antenna and you are killing them. Happy for you .....
I heard 571 Chicago in there, I spoke to him from down here on the coast with my mobile earlier this month. Cool. 585SC said it. 73's. I love the skip clips.
@@ScottsRadios President George is awesome. But the Grant XL Philippines model rocks it on recieve and performance. Features of the George are up to Lincoln 2 v3 standards. Not bad for a radio from 20+ years ago. We have zero skip conditions in southern Manitoba. Count yourselves lucky.

Nice contacts on SSB. I was heavily debating whether to use my several 102" whips that I have for my trucks for a base station. Looks like too much work so went ahead and spent $100 on a tornado 27. My uniden 980 SSB just came in waiting for antenna to pair it with my X-Force 3 pill. ASAP will be standing by in about a week LOL
I just got back into CB radio I set up a tram 1480 antenna my SWR is reading 3 on one and channel 40 how do I get my SWR down do I trim that antenna where it slides together
I just put in my cb mobile and the swr on 1-40 is 1.3 i think that should work, a guy gave me a radio check and said I’m getting out. Now all i got to do is put up my base station and i’ll be talking. Have a great blessed day, Bearded Dragon said it and I’m 73’s

I made a contact to 787 Panama City from my mobile with Wilson 1000 on 395lsb minutes before you jumped up to the frequency. Conditions fell off minutes later. 419 Wisconsin wavin' hello.
You can hear me mud duckin' at 6:09 with no luck. First time I have heard myself on a gate. Thank You Sir! I'll point my Honda in your directions next time we get conditions.
@@MowerJunkie That was only 100watts from my trunk mounted Wilson 1000. A roof mount would get out better but I have to get a 16' canoe on my roof rack for summer playtime, so trunk mount it is. I'm hoping to get a bigger box to make up for it soon.
