Just got home a little while ago, and had a chance to watch. Really chilling story. Good try to get into the crypt for review, a little square hole was intriguing. One must just try to imagine what her coffin must look like? Love the special effects!!!! Spooky spooky!! Anything to do with the devil is frightening.
Very spooky story but sad for Anne and that little baby found in the walls, the devil is not one to be messed with although Fr. Broaders did, thanks Ron ❤
The cemeteries and head stones are always beautiful cant fight the damage from time .but there is care and remembering them names or no .its so interesting to see history restored i love the old churches and stained glass is amazing such a amazing skill .the craftsmanship of the head stones
The churches and graveyards are really beautiful. I love to see those monuments to lives long passed. What a tragic history of the Loftus family. Poor Anne. Thank you.
My mother lived at Loftus Hall with the nuns before she herself became a nun for a time. You know that thé famous staircase is one of only three in the world one in Loftus one under the sea on the Titanic and one in the Vatican. The staircase was crafted by the same people. We visited here last year it was very moving to see. Thanks so much for this video.
Yes, the staircase is absolutely stunning and definitely reminds me of the same in Titanic, I really hope the hotel development keep that stairs or it will be an absolute shame!! They say nuns roam the back stairs still in a ghostly fashion as at least one nun lost her life falling down the stairs, it's still marked with a cross, such a magnificent building
Sorry I missed you live on this one. I love the history on this story, also the graveyard had some very nice shaped headstones. I thoroughly enjoy all your work Sue, you never disappoint. Thank you so much 💕🇦🇺
Oh! I was busy with the kids on Halloween here. I’m watching now. Kinda glad I get an extra treat...👻🎃 Don’t want to spoil it for others who hasn’t watched yet, but some of this saddens me. R.I.P. to them all. 💔👑✨
Me too Elizabeth, I'm scared kind of but I'm curious, this place gave me an eerie vibe when I visited but I'm sorry I didn't investigate more, this time I'm too late to get in as it's sold to an unknown buyer I'd of loved to have gone in, even wanted to cross the field but it's all secured and signs everywhere
Had to go back and watch the video again. Fascinating history. Tragic about Anne and the baby. So Sad about the drownings. Thanks for sharing Sue. God Bless and take care
Thanks NANA D it's a story I've know since a child but I didn't know that Anne was buried there or the priest who exorcised the hall, great to tie them all together ❤
As usual, such beautiful places. Even Loftis Hall with its awful history is a beautiful building. I love the spooky stuff. It is kinda sad that so many stones can no longer be read but we know that there are the remains of people just like us buried there. Their names might be forgotten, but the fact that they once lived is remembered. I love seeing the names and dates though. I keep hoping to see some of my distant ancestors resting places. And of course, more fairies. Lol. Another beautiful job Sue. Ps.... you should show your beautiful face more often.
It's a story I know from when I was young and I've been inside several times when open...it really gives you an eerie feel but what I never knew until now was Anne's resting place nor of the priest that banished the devil ❤❤
This is a great video for Halloween. My son and myself watch Ghost Adventures when we can. The episode when the Ghost Adventures group visited Loftus Hall is one of our favorites. I believe it was actually filmed on Halloween. I like Loftus Hall, it looks like it came right out of a Irish Ghost story. It looks to be in good condition as best as I can tell. I also liked the church and graveyard. Anne's crypt looks like both the family and the church does not want it to be opened ever again. Thank you very much, Sue and GV for another great walking tour. And, even though it is December, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Stay safe.
Thanks Michael, this video was my Halloween story from last year but since then it's now being turned into a hotel, which I will definitely visit when completed. I've been inside before
@@SerenitySueGraveyards Cool! Thank you very much for the information. Perhaps when it is completed, you and GV can go spend the night there, and have a paranormal experience. ( Just kidding! ) I used to dream about living in a place like Loftus Hall, but I suppose between property taxes and maintenance, a person needs to be a multimillionaire, just to afford a place like Loftus Hall. Thank you, for getting back to me.
Oh I'd definitely go there see if there's anything paranormal going on..I'm very interested in that sort of thing to be honest. Yes, oh to own such a place, the staircase alone is worth thousands it was built by the same man who built titanic or so they say, also some tiles on the floors are unique, they even chopped the hands of the man who made them so he couldn't make anything like them again, also a story I heard, how true I don't know. I hope the new owners keep original features
Thanks Janice, I didn't want to go full into the history just more about the story I have known for years but I've a link under the video if you'd like to read, it's a great place in a stunning area, loftus hall is very eerie to be near ❤
This was so Awesome ☺️❤️🥰 I love you peering in ‼️💕 I always wondered if on some of them, depending the age of the coffins if they didn't put glass windows in them.🤔
Thank you for your video. I was diagnosed with Asperger's back in 2005 when people were concerned about my fixation with Loftus Hall. One thing I will say is that she actually was put in a wardrobe in her last year's in the tapestry room.
I work with children diagnosed with aspergers and autism. I've always been fascinated by how they become fixated with movies, sounds toys etc. You certainly chose an amazing place and story..Di you know its been sold again and its slowly becoming a hotel
Great spooky story happy Halloween Sue nice church and graveyard some stones are unreadable due to time it's a sad story for all that drowned and good try to see in Ann crypt
Hi Sue, in the Loftus Hall film from 1993 it explains the Tottenham and Broaders families argued as to where his final burial place would be and in the end they came to a compromise and was buried in a half catholic half protestant cemetery so even though its listed as church of ireland, there must be other catholic gravestones there too.
Spraying water on the stones will help bring out the writing. Morressy sounds like a treacherous bay. I nearly drown as a boy in a swimming accident, to this day, I don't trust dark waters. I still venture out, but not very far.
I really loved this story. It would be interesting to stay the night there. And great job trying to get a look inside the tomb. Youre more brave than I am! Lol. I love your channel! Happy Halloween!!
Interesting video 👌 I subscribe you channel.I am from Latvia, and i like old graweyards, castles and ghosts 🏰👻 I have worked as a security guard at night in the spooky places and castle.Very interesting work, when you feel-you not alone there, footsteps, sounds, voices 👌 I remember when i see black shadow, comong out the wall, thats scary.
Thank you, oh I couldn't walk on my own like that at night and if I seen a shadow I'd be gone 🤣 if you like ghosts graveyards etc check out my video on glasnevin, I found a skeleton and caught an EVP
Our dog started barking at the sound of the crows at the start of the video and made me jump! 😂 Thanks for the spooky story Sue, it turned out rather sad in the end.

Very nice video for Halloween ! Sorry I missed the live. I wonder if poor Anne longer for her lover or if she was afraid he might come back? Happy Halloween!🦇

Like 283 sue I will come back on this one as I'm in work tomorrow I didn't realise it was 20 mins long I seen bit off it on your tiktok so looks interesting to watch.
I just got a chance to view this and very spooky! Love the devil story Sue! It was good to see you in the video also. I appreciate you trying to get to the tomb. I wonder what the coffin looked like?
As sinister as that place looks if Anne had loved the stranger to the point where she became pregnant by him I think she would have noticed the cloven hooves well before they sat down to the card game. 🎃
Very true but maybe he chose not to reveal himself until that time 🤔 I actually believe she became pregnant and was abandoned in the tapestry room out of family shame, the stranger was ran out of there 😳
@@SerenitySueGraveyards I don't think it's necessary to believe the Devil story - I have no doubt both tragedy and horror occurred within those walls. I myself wouldn't want to set foot in there. 👻😨
