Singapore is pretty affordable if you do not own a car. Take that out from the assessment and we will be the 16th (maybe lower) most expensive ciry in the world. Sadly your video did not cover that and it just got lost in the vlog.
We definitely agree with you! As far as the vlog, we didn’t want it to be about just that. Which is why we didn’t mentioned too much on that topic but we will keep that in mind for when we do mention stuff like that, to continue with it.
Most people get fooled by the “most expensive city in the world “ label Singapore has. Singapore is the most expensive city in Asia but not in the world . Hawker food $4 to $7, taxi fare about $1.10 for 1 minute journey , MRT train $1.50 to $2 for 30 minutes journey. Even at most normal restaurants and not MBS, a meal per person $15 to $20 . Go compare prices in New York, Australia , Norway, Paris , Iceland , Switzerland etc and most other western countries
Singapore is definitely not the most expensive. It’s extremely misleading, there is no need for a personal transport, way more alternatives instead of eating at a restaurant, for those living here they can rent HDB at significantly cheaper rent instead of condo, want cheap drinks don’t go convenient stores patronise supermarkets which are ubiquitous.
mhm.. not sure about this one.. when it comes to daily things like groceries, toiletries, and care products, same as services and rents, the prices are more noticeable.

@@juliarngold Groceries , toiletries are not expensive in Singapore . Some places are cheaper if you know where to shop. I agree rents are expensive.
People from Philippines came to Singapore told me some of our shampoo cheaper than in Philippines and our money is bigger than theirs🤣
Definitely was not expensive to us. The most expensive part was the mall, but that was to be expected. I agree ☝️
