Trim extend only works when pipes are aligned. If they are not aligned, then this command will not work. Also, try using the command in a floor plan. I use trim/extend to connect piping that is perpendicular.

Are you a bim engineer? We are doing lots of project in revit fabrication...if you make tips or tricks video on that...it will be very helpful for us.
