Eric, you're such an enduring Talent.
I've been fan of you since we first saw you in the Village, Bitter End! You're talent is amazing!
You're still the Best! 4/11/2020
One of my all time favorites! Eric Andersen such a great writer and singer. One of the most under rated musicians ever. Thanks.
I saw Eric at the Main Point in Bryn Mawr PA in the late 60's. His music mesmerized me then, and it still does.
First "folk song' I ever heard. A sweet boy played it for me in the mid-1960's. I'm home sick for that time.
Beautiful.
Pablo Machetski (sp?) introduced us to Eric Andersen’s music at Camp Lutherlyn on Golden Lake in about 1967. I fell head over heels in love with the music. Meeting the singer himself in Toronto was the highlight of the last decade for me
Absolutely amazing !!!
Great performance.
Great song
Love this song! My favorite cover is the Chad Mitchell Trio.
Yeah, always one of my favorites! Beautiful song. And no-one to my knowledge has ever used the prefix "no-" in music lyrics. My and my buddy Cliff (Eberhardt) used to sing this all the time w/his brother Geoff, this and Thirsty Bootsm when it first came out on, Vanguard was it?. Always thought of Eric in the same surrealistic lyricked vein as, but way less vituperative than, Bobby D. (er, Dylan, not Darren). Great to still hear it goin on. Playing is folkrockingly terrific. He over-emotes the lyrics here, though.
“Over-emotes”? Heaven forbid.
I liked it and he still sounds good but not as good as he does on the old original LP I have n my collection.
He’s 83 years old.
