      Just wait till they get server meshing in and working properly mate, the places are going to explode with people. Even before then we should have a lot more npc's doing their do and very shortly they should be allowing them to be able to move areas so will be using the trains with us and travelling more by ship :~) It is going to be incredible.

      @@entityunknown1798 at the moment you are correct, however with server sid eocs and server meshing this won't be an issue as the entire purpose of server meshing is to have the ability for another server to take up the extra worked that the single server can not maintain due to the amount of assets being used in the associated area of the games verse. This will get rid of the limitations we face at the moment and completely mitigate the issue you are refering to.

    Holy crap man, that is a great video! It's mind blowing to think that there are literally 7 MILLION square kilometers of this city over a planet with a diameter of 1,500 km in a solar system tens of millions of kilometers across with no loading screens.

      @@OfficialAzor why not? do you know how it works? They could if they really wanted to to just press go and every single building on the planet would have a fully usable interior. However there is no point putting interiors into millions if not billions of buildings as not even every single person ever alive would be able to visit them all in a lifetime. The tech that makes the cities has it's interior proc gen partner system.

      @@OfficialAzor Since they have shown off caves and truck stops, I think it's a matter of time until those buildings have content. Story line: by October 2026 Star Citizen is so popular that nearly all the human population is a Star Citizen, even the poor, as CIG offers free living quarters on some planets. March 2031; many people prefer the virtual scifi reality above their real life and yearn for a permanent solution. August 2037, half the world population now resides in a VR-pod hooked to SC. In return for their virtual presence, CIG receives their bodily exothermic and electrical surplus to power their servers...

    • @dominicgunderson
      @dominicgunderson 5 років тому

      It's an industrial planet, it's supposed to look pollutted and kind of lifeless. And the first one was a demo from a time where you couldn't even land on planets yet. That version of ArcCorp had way to much happening to get playable frames and such. The newer version is better in a lot of ways, especially Area 18.

    • @mrpipper7271
      @mrpipper7271 5 років тому

      Dominic Gunderson the atmosphere should be a darker cooler, I know it’s industrialized but the white bluish atmosphere doesn’t give that feel. It feels empty. When looking at area 18 (the old one) and the type of sky color and atmosphere it had should of been implemented in this one

Your right, all those buildings and lights are a facade, hiding the emptiness underneath. But what did you expect? They never promised stuff like that and nobody else has been able to. Your expectations are through the roof buddy. Also the entire damn thing is still in development.
