What Shroud said at the end is right on the money. 'Thank god for Valorant.' People act like they have to be so hostile to games that compete with each other not realizing both of them existing and thriving is making each game have to keep up with the other or risk falling behind.
I've said it many times without valorant csgo would have never been updated maybe for years.. competition is always a good thing
Source 2 and the plans to port CSGO to it was made well before Valorant was a thing. It's possible that we got CS2 sooner because of it, but we would've gotten it eventually regardless of Valorant
id still argue alot of features to come and yet to come are bc of valorant. the biggest one being a proper anti cheat system and better tick rate bc valorant has that and csgo lacks in that hard@@hampustornros

No competition means dark ages for a game until people finally decide to drop it (Warzone is a huge example) and force the company to improve their game
Watching eco rounds might be boring, but playing them and winning against full buy is just priceless, at least for me

Hey thats what the buff system in valorant does.. it balances and if u win those our brain releases more dopamine and therefore we get more addicted. Hence we whiff a lot more against ecos in that semi rigged game. People dont notice this coz theyre 16 year olds with only few years of Fps games experience or they migrated from minecraft
Going deagle only eco and winning can change the games outcome. Without eco rounds the insane comebacks wouldn’t exist. Ppl would just play faceit if they remove it so it’s fine
i think nowadays pros play least eco round,now they just tryna play 1 eco round, back in the days its always 2r eco
The map blinks white when you shoot to show you the feedback for which part of the radar is hearing that noise. It's part of the same system that shows you on the radar a circle when you walk and jump to show how far can be heard the noise you've made.
you can change how the radar scales though, and the whole radar glows anyway, which is accurate since you can hear gunshots from across the map anyway, not sure about silenced guns though

My dear friend. I just given you the reason CS2 is a hybrid version of Valorant. Can you don't give some constructive criticism why you disagree?
The UI (before game) is identical. You select weapon just as in Valorant. The graphics changes is also identical to Valorant.

I love shrouds reaction to the cs2 changes cause hes so open to change, cause most cs players just hate change in general, but because he started playing other shooters he can see the value in alot of what valve is doing.
The white around the map when you shout is the sound sensor. People here you beyond the limit at which you have your map zoomed in

I want to see new biomes and ambients in 2-3 new competetive maps. Like snow, thunder, rain and storms etc.

I mean, the shadow being noticeable further in a dark tunnel on Anubis than in a brightly lit hallway of Nuke, that does make sense. the brightness of other light sources will effect how a shadow from a singular source will show.
Also to add to the mr-12, I do understand the appeal of less eco rounds, cause a good portion are just slaughters, but we can not deny that some of the best plays in comp CS:GO history has been from eco rounds from the team eco-ing.

If he's watching any of the matches being played by the pros currently, eco rounds make a huge difference and can break the enemy's team economy if they win.

I think chagnes make sense, bc Italy is so t-sided map and so difficult for ct to get to the t spawn and hostages... so now we see some balance

shadows can be extremely helpful for the people with higher spec PCs that can run better graphics/shadows/lighting compared to people that will need to turn all graphic settings down, making the low specs completely unaware that shadows are something they need to take into consideration when peaking certain angles.
Most people with game knowledge will play with low settings. Unless you're playing really at the bottom.

I agree that generally people watching pro CS aren't particularly interested in watching eco rounds, but it's important to note that they are important in cs. A team with a good sense of econ and when to save will fare a much better chance than a team who doesn't know. And pistol rounds can still be very entertaining to watch, even if they are less accurate. Maybe there could be a bigger disparity between a round win/loss, and this way there could be less eco rounds per team, but still make each eco round more impactful and therefore more fun and interesting to play or watch

I hope they don't do MR-12, I love CS as it is right now just keep the changes that they've done. I don't know about the buy menu though. Maybe they should do it like in 1.6 that would be badass
I don't see how mr12 is gonna make less eco rounds unless they boost money gained for round losses because the benefit of saving 2 rounds on ct and being able to buy the rest of the half would outweigh the current benefit of taking a risky force to rebalance economy. I am in favor of shorter matches though hard to have a life while spending 50 mins per pug.
i think csgo 2 should be able to shoot out the lights if they have shadows, so youd be able to blow out the light with a grenade
