"Into Womanhood" - Apache Sunrise Dance

Marie's Apache Sunrise Dance. The Apache Girls' Sunrise Ceremony is part of the Native American religious tradition. The ceremony itself contains much dancing, singing, ritual, and history. At one point, the participant is even painted with a pollen mixture. During the ceremony, the girl’s power is for herself, though in the four holy days following the ceremony, it becomes available to anyone.

I'm 65 but I still remember my coming-of-age ceremony, it was beautiful, and I was so nervous. Everything was planned by my grandmother and my aunt; I was the first girl born into my family in 15 years. The girls grandma has the exact same mark on her cheek that I have.

After which i hope everybody minds their own business??? Because earlier ir occurred that todays era cant afford seeing youth oresented as womenhood like some play. We understand some get bad ideas if its a nessage for her to understand growth, not to think its a tool others can yse against her. Please realize the difference. Kidnappers might not . Bad dpirits fo not recognize or want to .noe thats pretty clear. More needs said on behalf the young lady or young man
