- The stakes are high in this adventure to Atlantic City, a never-before-seen location in the Fallout universe. Roll the dice and take on two new Missions in an all-new Expedition set on the famous Boardwalk.

So for those who don't know this update on December 5th will be part 1 of atlantic city which is sort of more like the pitt update. But part 2 will be an entire new set of locations to free roam with quests etc... and that comes later. Hope this information helps.

This sounds like more fun than actual Atlantic city.
As someone once mentioned. Once you get far into this game, it's no longer apocalyptic. Instead it's a scoreboard theme park ride.
I hear that I was supposed to spend a week in Atlantic City and left after 2 days because I was so damn bored.
I live in Atlantic City and I can vouch. It's just as dangerous though. Now I need this game just to see if my street is in game

Well their plan is to use Fallout 76 as a way for fallout fans to not be too deprived of content until they presumably finish and release ESO 6 and start work on Fallout 5

How about a story expansion? Like maybe the Enclave?!
Enclave is something they've been slowly building up in the background ever since the first Daily Ops, and more recently with the "management" of the whitesprings. They'll do something with them eventually.
The Enclave is something they are SLOWLY building on in Fallout 76. To mention some of my theories regarding this..
(and the following in my personal Fallout 76 CONSPIRACY THEORY... but some SPOILERS are mentioned below)
I personally think Orlando at the White Springs is secretly Enclave. Why do I think this? Several of the things Orlando has said sound like stuff the Enlcave would say. I think the higher ups that Orlando is working for are also Enclave. But what type of Enclave? There is the West Virginia / Appalachia Enclave that the player is part of (Reminder: the player becomes an ENCLAVE GENERAL at the end of the original Fallout 76 quest with MODUS as the A.I leader. Those two, aside from all the Enclave robots in the White Springs bunker, are the only surviving Appalachia Enclave. Well, this is assuming former U.S President Thomas Echkhart and all the other humans are truly dead). The OTHER Enclave is the one that's in California on the Oil Rig (where the OTHER U.S President and other Enclave human members are currently at).
Now...
Is Orlando from the California chapter of the Enclave where they traveled from California to Appalachia, similar to how the Brotherhood in the Steel Reign DLC traveled from California to Appalachia? Or is Orlando secretly ONLY with the Appalachia chapter with MODUS ( who is the mysterious "Mr. Otis" that Orlando mentions??) with MODUS refusing to tell us, the Enclave General, that they have recruited Orlando (if that's the case, what's with the secret??)
Also,
Is Orlando the same person as Sgt. Orlando Garret mentioned 25 years ago in one of the holotapes at Huntersville? There is some evidence that suggests it's the same Orlando. Possibly.
Also, since U.S President Thomas Eckhart is dead (allegedly), and the player is the top ranking (and only) Enclave General, doesn't that automatically give the U.S presidency to the player due to chain of command? If so, why hasn't MODUS told us yet and allowed us into the U.S Presidency office in the White Springs Bunker since we, the player, are the new U.S president?
Also,
Since there is that OTHER U.S President at the California Enclave chapter, that comes in conflict with the U.S presidency that branched off with Thomas Eckhart in Appalachia. I imagine if members of the California Enclave chapter traveled to Appalachia, they might NOT be happy with the player who is an Enclave General and possibly the other U.S president. Some might be angry and would want to murder the player, but some might want the player as the one and only and true president if they have a hatred for the other U.S president that's in California.

Also, how do we get from the Enclave events in Fallout 76 to the Enclave and John Henry Eden in Fallout 3? Does MODUS and the player and someone else (Orlando) have something to do with that?
LOTS of unanswered questions for a future Enclave update to Fallout 76 whenever they get around to it.

@@mindinvader9599 The enclave aren't exactly just your run of the mill faction, if/when they're added to the game in full it would likely end up being for something big and until then they make for a good boogeyman in the background and easter egg for people paying attention.

Its been good for a few years now. I waited till 2020 and it's got like atleast 600 hours of quests not including exploring. And building is pretty fun cus you can show your friends and chill in your lair. Give it a go dude

Scary and creepy? Someone hasn't been paying attention to the whole lovecraftian horror subplot they have been rolling with in every game since fallout 3 (in 76, the interloper and how that relates to the Mothman's cult)
Bethesda just shitting on this franchise and letting consumers shove down their throats and call it a great game.

Looks great but.... All I need to be realy happy is Interior Wall Frames. I should nat have to glitch 2 walls in order to wallpaper a set of rooms.
If we ever get an update to this game you have to include other parts of the Jersey Shore like Margate City Ocean City and Wildwood. As someone who travels to those places during the summer I'm very curious to see what you come up with.

Not a fan of expeditions, the Pitt was the Pits. After 5 years I wish this was a new map expansion with new locations to explore, a whole new set of events/quests based in Atlantic City and new locations to build my camp.
It's actually got a few of those things, like the quests and the exploration. You don't even need to complete daily missions to explore.
I believe there is a expedition that is just for exploring the entire map and going to the casinos and gambling etc
Part two is just that - quests in Atlantic City and free roam within the parts of it.

New Vegas: "Look at what they need to mimic a fraction of my power."
I would rather wander through the actual Las Vegas desert in the middle of the summer during a drought than play the boring brown emptiness that is new Vegas. And that is something I say from experience.
New Vegas is the worst entry in the series.

Look I may be young and living under a rock when it comes to the gambling world but I have never heard ANYTHING about Atlantic City or it's name mentioned a single time. Not even by my grandparents or even some of the teachers I've had older than them even though both were born and raised on the east coast :/

@@27FloppsAtlantic City is the most famous city on the Jersey shore and probably the most famous city in Jersey. Very historically significant and has the first and most famous boardwalk. It used to be bigger than Vegas but is now the 2nd biggest city for casinos. Definitely has gone downhill over the years

76 has been worth playing since the Wastelander update, when Bethesda broke, finally dropped their stupid 'PvP survival game fallout with no human NPCs' idea and turned it into a Fallout MMO that is actually fun.
@@zolahVR PvP was the most fun part, they just screwed up the balance. Wastelanders was by far the worst story content in Fallout history.

I'm so excited for Atlantic City! Fallout 76 did wonders for the series and I dare say it's been much more enjoyable than even Fallout New Vegas! It's comfortable, it's packed with action and content, and there is boundless replayability with this game! The PvP is just downright criminal with how well designed it is. And these expansions seem to be breathing sweet new life into an already tremendous game!

They aren't dailies dipshit, and haven't been for a while now. While there is a free daily drop of a mission reward you can just grind the missions as much as you want with no limit and buy what you want directly from the vendor.

“We” want more story and exploration, not more repetitive shit to grind. 76 has enough grind already and then some.

Grindy shit has long term replayability, know what doesn't? Story and exploration. You explore a new region and complete a new storyline in a day and then what?
