I think anyone commenting on the price has lost their minds. The amount of money brands charge for one to ones of their vintage watches is one thing but seiko are asking 400 give or take. In todays watch world this is a steal for what they are offering, it’s the closest rerelease of a watch in this price range I’ve ever seen. Definitely the best seiko release for me in a long long time. I’m sure they’ll age very well too. Would have liked to have seen the original 6106 bracelet though.
First! Nice one, but sadly it's not as affordable as it was back then taking into account inflation, etc. Granted this is an improved version from the original one, it's still quite a hefty price tag.
I somewhat agree. So the street price for Seiko 5's (nice ones that is) was roughly $200 around 2010-2012. If you factor in inflation that would be $265 in today's money. That is roughly the street price for a seiko 5 sport these days (200-240) so I think that's fair. Also wanted to point out that the msrp for this watch $415 is not that bad considering a SKX msrp was $495 granted it was more of a hardcore diver but a typical 5 sport msrp $325 is still pretty competitive. factor inflation and it's actually good!

@@watchyoulove A reasonable argument :)
1:20 before we even see watch. Looks like a recraft clone
The original had a rotating chapter ring.
