Damn, this is absolutely great. Never seen any of this before. Michael Talbot and John Diehl are two very down to earth guys and look like they were lots of fun to work with. The 80's was one hell of a time :)
Talbot and Diehl are still very close friends and even Santiago joined them on an fan event. It's sad so that there isn't some reunion show, where all come together and talk about miami vice. I think that shows are like a school class, when it is on, they are very close but when it's end people went their one ways and some won't look back.
What sweet guys!!!!!!!! How much fun when Miami Vice was being filmed here for all of us in Florida. Just always remember how you saved Miami . This is 2025 I love watching this and miss you all.
This first scene is from the EP: ' No Exit ', original air date: 9 NOV 1984. Which also features a pre-stardom Bruce Willis (' Moonlighting ', premiered the following year)
I remember being 13 years old living in Wilmington, NC at the time. I told my mother that I was looking forward to a cool new tv show called Miami Vice.
This is awesome!!! Thank u for posting.what i LOVE ABOUT THIS SHOW IS THE PRETTIEST 1980S FASHION, GORgeous pastel colors suits, the makeup, hair, high heels, pretty dresses, puff shoulders, ribbons, bows, satin, lace!!!
Ben Stiller - must see, what an image:D ua-cam.com/video/wpCPDP_4N3I/v-deo.html Laurence Fichburn, Stanley Tucci, Benicio Del Toro!, Annette Bening, Denis Farina, Steve Buscemi, Ed O'Neil, Liam Neeson, Wesley Snipes, Helena Bonham Carter (Nice!;), Viggo Mortensen, Frank Zappa, Phil Collins, Miles Davis!
So cool!!! I WAS seven or eight years old during this footage, and since it was an adult show I never watched this show, but now I'm an adult, I have this whole series to watch now.
Aw man, what a gem of a video! I get so happy when i find anything at all showing &/or telling about the behind the scenes workings of just about any televison show or movie! Thank you so much for uploading this! Remember how all of the production companies in the entertainment world seemed to have some standards and respect about the work they put out? 😅 They had MUCH more respect and way more considerstion back then for the consumers of their entertainment products too - aka, you and i - and therefore they HAD to put forth REAL effort & talent into creating QUALITY ENTERTAINMENT! SO MUCH of the production process nowadays is done with computers & software, so i dont find much interest in "behind the scenes" contents it seems like anymore. And if its not all CGI, then the entertainment is usually some shameful attempt at a remake, or whatever 5 mins of fame social media "star" doing literally nothing entertaining at all, "reality" TV, etc etc... INSTEAD, you can now twaddle at their twitters nonstop!😂 shoot em comment after comment after comment 24/7! Who knows... You might someday get a "👍" from them! 😱😍 Please forgive the senile ranting here people 😅 im making myself some personal quality entertainment 😂😂😂
This is real cool, behind the scenes/bts footage of the stars of “Miami Vice “and the best part was the whole cast was involved in filming this scene with the vehicles coming up to the courthouse and going up the steps leading within. That episode which Bruce Willis costarred in was really good too, especially at the end of it where his character gets shot by his wife, and Crockett tries to stop her.
@@itsmiamivicepal8617 Thank you as well.. This is a gem to see, being that I was around 17 years old when this was recorded. Takes me back to the time I was watching the series.
Awesome. I can see why being bothered as an actor all the time would get old.I have seen several in airports in my travels and know enough to stay away :)
There's a video on UA-cam from about 2012 in which Michael Talbott, John Diehl, & the still lovely Saundra Santiago are in Paris at some convention for "Miami Vice", answering a few questions. Not much has changed, as they still are a pretty tight group in that video too (I believe Talbott & Santiago got a place together in Coconut Grove in the early years of Vice; expensive place to live, so it had to be a good idea to go halves on the rent). Talbott & Santiago once also hosted "Friday Night videos" on NBC in this era, and they were pretty fun & chummy there too as well.
Yes you're right Talbott and Saundra did share a condo in Miami. She also mentions it, I think in the documentary E true Hollywood story about having a hard time finding a cheap place. I like seeing the cast together outside MV in these events at comic cons and attending other public stuff.
Yeah, that's where I heard Saundra Santiago say that, in the E! True Hollywood Story piece. Ha, I saw a clip from one of those conventions in which Michael Talbott jokes that John Diehl & him just put up with Saundra. It's the same lighthearted stuff that's a part of the footage here; I think that's cool.
Yeah exactly! When the release of Miami Vice on Blu-ray were announced, I really hoped for that, but unfortunately it didn't happen. There is so much behind the scenes stuff they could have included on both the DVD's and now Blu-ray. There is only a bit from this clip added in the Extra's of the DVD's like this here: ua-cam.com/video/JvZOCDQbKc4/v-deo.htmlm48s
carlos amaya I'm immensely confused because I could've sworn that Johnny Depp was the main lead of that cop show during that time period and not Don Johnson
she was mainly Cuban and Cubans and Italians look basically the same many times. that's why Al Pacino and Armand Assante could play Cuban/Puerto Ricans also
@@dltguitar6532 Don’t forget Andy Garcia playing Italian in The Untouchables. Most Miami Cubans are white, of Spanish descent, so it’s easy to play those roles. Plenty of black, or mixed Cubans in Florida, but not as many as the white ones.
Bootsie?! "Yeah I watch every episode from that show. Do you know Switek and Zito? No." What's Sonny's real name? Some say Dan Johnson...... But it's DON Johnson!" lmao
@@itsmiamivicepal8617 I think if they had it to do over again they probably would focus more on the supporting cast. Vice was the greatest show ever but in all honesty the 4th and 5th seasons had some real stinkers with season five being the worst of the lot with episodes like Miracle Man and Missing Hours, which were just plain laughable. I think had they featured the supporting cast more they would have had better episodes in these later seasons but ultimately you get what you get.
@@greenrefrigerator Missing Hours was from Season 4, not 5; the latter being actually underrated, in my humble opinion, while the aforementioned 4th was... Debatable.
You're right, it was episode 6 ('One-Eyed Jack'), but Olmos also said that he came on after four episodes, as episode 5, which I prefer to call 'Calderone's Demise' (also called 'Calderone's Return Part II') didn't have an Lt., as Lt. Rodriquez was killed in Part I, and Crockett & Tubbs spent most of Part II on St. Andrews Island, trying to bust Calderone.

It's Miami Vice Pal - obviously the famed episode with Bruce Willis - were the the two old men 'nearly' stuck by police car randomly there or part of the shot? Great stuff! Shows you JUST how indebted to the technicians any good show or film is.
Ha ha, try getting that close to a movie street set today - no chance. I randomly came across filming of "Captain America and the Winter Soldier" in autumn last year ( 2020 ) in Prague one evening. Came around the corner and there they were about to film a crowd scene. Not allowed to stand and watch .. ushered away by a security guard. Heaven knows what would have happened if I took out my mobile phone :)
I used to think Nash Bridges was the sequel to Miami Vice. Something about the sun always shining, the cast wardrobe in bright colored suits and the fancy cars in both shows...and of course Don Johnson.
