there is this paper called graphite paper and you can do the same thing recommend. all you do is tape the piece of paper onto the graphite paper and press down on the surface you’re trying to sketch on

Using the pencil print method is good but I'm not sure about doing it on fabric but I suggest going over the transfer straight away because it can rub off easier.
Ye I tried it off camera it didn’t work well for me, might be good for a canvas though

i want to try something like this but i’m not really a good artist when it comes to painting. any tips on how to get steady and consistent line work with a paintbrush?
Quick and confident stokes of the brush. The slower you move your hand the more it will shake. Once you put the brush down move it quickly and deliberately the one direction 😁✌🏿hope that helps, give it a go and keep practicing

what brush do you use for the black outlining?
I had a question. So I would like to get into customizing my own clothes but I was wondering, does the paint come off or get kinda ruined if you wash these pants or the design basically stays the same. If it does get ruined are there anyways to prevent it ?
So you should use a heat gun do a few seconds when the painting is done to cure the paint and then add an acrylic finisher and let it to dry for a few days, wash in a low heat for a short cycle but hand washing is best. It’s art you need to take care of it 🔥

have tried to paint on jeans and a t shirt but was finding it difficult to get the fabric paint to spread and cover the fabric since it absorbed the paint quickly so had to use more and more layers of paint, any tips on how to paint smoother and easier on jeans, have seen some people wetting the area first with water?
like i have to refill my brush pretty much after each stroke?
You can add fabric medium to the paint to make it run more smooth. Also you could paint a think layer of paint down first and when it’s dry go over it with the design
