    The tech job market is bad in Germany.
    I'm from a non-EU country and completed my Bachelors and Masters here in Germany, accumulating 6 years of experience. Unfortunately, I was laid off due to my company's bankruptcy. Despite speaking German at a C1 level and studying in German, finding a job has been challenging. Even when I do find one, surviving on the salary in Berlin is tough. The housing situation is deteriorating, making it difficult to secure an apartment in major cities.

    Most Desi job seekers here in Germany cannot communicate properly. They have 7 bands in IELTS but in interviews they cannot speak a single sentence in correct and easy to understand English. Desi with good English go to Canada and Australia, and others who cannot fulfill their language requirement, come to Germany because requirement here is 6.5 bands, which they get using 'tips and tricks'. But companies wants their employees to be able to fully express themselves in all technical and social settings. So I would suggest that before starting to learn a new language (german) you should first focus on gaining full command on English speaking by speaking it all the time, preferably with American intonation, because most Germans now watch and understand American tv series/ movies. They just cannot speak it, but they understand English well. Desi have technical experience and they can write and understand English well, but just need a lot of practice and confidence speaking English.

      Thank you @meu22422 It is true. Communication is a key. People will not check your IELTS score when they hire you. They will check if you can speak the language. If you do not know any language but want to move to Germany, we would suggest to start learning German. You will have more opportunities if you speak the German language.

    Not sure why you're still posting videos. Feels like the hiring market is overwhelmed, I have 8 yoe, applying for jobs that specifically match my stack and I only get automatic rejections.

    I have a question. I am not trying to compare apple to oranges, but I grew up in Rheinland-Pfalz and currently live in the US. Thinking about moving back but my salary is over a 100k with 5-10 years of experience in Information Technology. Is it worth me getting an IT job in Germany or should I look to a different country? You mentioned with 5-7 years experience the average person will earn between 60 to 70k starting out.

      no country in the world pays as much as US specially in IT, if you don't wanna have a big salary cut in Europe maybe you should consider moving to Switzerland..

      Hi @leeduhart105 Every case is unique. 60-70k is a standard salary for people who are just getting into the EU market. In case you already have this international experience and speak the language, you can definitely expect a higher salary. Good information about salary in Tech. I am an Indie Android Developer and has also booked an Get-To-Know call from your website. How is the job market for Android Developers in Germany ?. I am also applying for the Chancenkarte card to come to Germany and look for good opportunities. Any suggestions 🙏

      @FAJIGBerlin  23 дні тому

      Hi @himmat4singh The Android market is not doing well. There are not so many opportunities now. We would suggest you research the market first and then decide if it makes sense for you to apply for the Opportunity Card.
