Jaw-Dropping Woodturning Masterpiece with Chameleon Effects

- Woodturning a stunning hybrid vase out mallee burl wood and epoxy resin. I added some chameleon type pigments into the resin so it creates a colour shifting effect as you turn the piece around. This deep pour resin formulated for bigger casting perfect for similar projects. Some texturing was added to the side to enhance its visual look. Sanded to high grit and applied clear gloss lacquer for glossy finish

I love the outside design. Everyone always makes things smooth and plain. Awesome job 👌
Thank you so much 😀 Agree, it did look a little too simple so wanted to spice up. Must say I really like it, so will be doing similar texturing in the future ;)

Ribbed for her pleasure 😁
Really like the harmonious colour chosen, compliments the colour of the wood very nicely!
The malee burl is just beautiful and the resin gives it a whole new dimension

Very cool. The ridges really made a difference in the design. Such a unique color as well; kind of ruby-ish.

Design change=good.
♥️♥️♥️
WOW :D
very satisfying as always
love the look, the iridescent color is great
why did you end up changing the design halfway thru?
David, how deep was this pour and how long did it take to cure? I'm just beginning to try epoxy casting for my own projects.
This piece is gorgeous!!
Thank you 🙂 It was about 8” so actually not very big and used about 2.5kg of resin. I have successfully poured around 8-9kg of resin in a single shot but obviously do not attempt that at the beginning:) all about picking a good deep casting resin and control your temperatures
!!!❤😎👍👍👍
What type of wood is that? Has a very interesting pattern.
👍👍👍👍👍🤜🤛
Absolutely stunning sir
Thank you 🙂
