  • Check out our trip to Japan, thanks to our friends at Snapdragon Elite Gaming: • We went to Japan...
    FalleN to FURIA. Liquid selling EliGE. electronic to . . . Evil Geniuses?! I . . . just . . .
    Suffice it to say, there have been some truly unhinged roster rumours as of late. Some things are set in stone; some aren’t.
    Either way, this might be the biggest roster shakeup in CS:GO history.

    Sad to see TL go to EU. I wouldve hoped they stayed in NA with the roster changes but oh well. I have full faith in Daps' abilities in recruiting fantastic new talent as he has done in the past. Yekindar reminds me of a young Stewiew2k esp when he first joined Liquid. The difference is that Stew fell off hard while Yekindar has been insanely consistent and amazing. I hope for Yek's sake that his IGL stint doesn't fail like Stew's

      it was definitely YEKINDAR that made call to get rainwaker and patsi. No way in the entire universe that on an any given day without influence of Yekindar who is amid lover of CIS/Eastern European CS they purchase these two. @@thenightmancometh93 bro you have not been watching the same games. He's been regularly on the top of the leaderboard for TL. You can even check his HLTV score and he's been doing really well, not just against his teammates but in general. No pro can have perfect stats consistently every game but he's been consistently top fragging and making big impact plays.

    • @shijiro
      @shijiro Рік тому

      @@alpang6161 The problem isn't only Yek's individual performance, but TL as a whole/team. Yek's performance alone will not carry TL enough despite having NAF and Elige with Nitro's IGL (obviously if you follow stats/tournament standings). Even though Stew (and some of his team mates at the time) eventually fell off and had internal issues (which was one of the main factors the roster fell off later on and split ways), that TL roster was still the best as a team and in terms of chemistry and impact as a full NA roster (consistent top placement in tier 1 tournaments, speedy grand slam, achieved #1 in world rankings, etc. which you should know if you're a long time CS viewer/fan). Yek's addition as a non-NA/EU star player didn't make TL achieve the same success as TL's full NA roster with Stew/Twistzz and the gang (that's despite the internal issues too). Like shox said in the video (and common sense), team chemistry is still very important aside from just firepower and young talents (also common sense in CS history since 1.6 days). Even tier 1 IGLs and support players/roles with low/inconsistent ratings (as usually expected in most teams) won't matter as long as they're doing their roles well in the team. Being on top of the leaderboard/scoreboard doesn't mean anything if your team isn't consistent in standings, tier 1 tournaments, and stats. This is old knowledge already.

    what do they expect? the truth is cs in na absolutely collapsed. the last recorded na stats from 2022 showed that na had the lowest matchmaking playerbase, lower than singapore, lower than japan, lower than argentina, hell even lower than hong kong. fpl is dead. faceit level 10 is dead. esea is triple dead and the anticheat is basically useless ever since jaguar got fired due to the bitcoin scandal. the truth is cs sucks in na. most people only want to get the global/lvl10 badge of honor, then uninstall to play the games they actually want to play. you have to deal with this neverending toxic youth culture of being called bad, onliner and cheater, even when it's not true. you have to pop off in pugs and scrims and league matches. you have to have amazing performances on not just your first lan, but second and third lan too. and you have to be physically fit and clean appearance (no acne) or else you get flamed to shit because na is simultaneously the least healthy but also the most shittalking when it comes to appearance and virginity. i look at zywoo, such fucking unreal talent, and i know 210% he would be ruined in na. i look at s1mple, and i smile that he left na and went to ukraine to pop off. na is dead. i thought it was just the negativity due to the 2008 recession leading to cgs collapsing, and that when that was over, na would recover. but since 2015 i've known the truth. they probably will get occasional silver medals, but nothing more.

The insane team plays, the clutches the individual efforts insane flicks or no scopes or wall bangs or run boosts and all I'm giving up by being tribal and cheering for certain color combinations is the sad feeling when my team didn't make it to this or that phase of this or that tournament. NA csgo is absolutely not a challenge at all. comp has to many cheaters to take it seriously. Only experiencing the casual 10 man lobby. Using a VPN to play all over the world.
    My experience is NA csgo is really terrible. California is worse than New York if you can imagine. Even though nobody leaves spawn and has great places to abandon their team, the entire fight, and the objective entirely to wait out the timer and lose the round. Why do they even buy guns if they just want to hide the bomb and make it impossible for anyone on their team actually playing the game.
    People saying it's just casual while trying to lose don't realize. csgo is csgo is csgo doesnt matter what the game mode is. If youre on bottom on one game mode your on bottom for every game mode. Casual in London is 1650% more challenging right off the rip its noticeable.

      sucking for so long does that to you. The fanatism people have for "NA players or we wont be fans" makes no sense. You are all human guys, just find a player you can get behind. People like us from places where there is no such thing as a national team playing, we just like players and we follow teams no matter what.

    Long time TL csgo fan. (c9 is my NA lcs team) It's been hard watching my 2 fav orgs bring in European players/russians. I understand it from a side of wanting to win. Just sucks admitting NA csgo scene is dead. TL in all honesty was it. I feel it when he says they did all they could. Couldnt agree more personally. I'll still be repping both teams. Just from a different view point.

    Team Liquid if anything is one of the most open team about why they make the decisions that they make i have to respect that. I'm sad to see them leave NA but i think this will be good not just for TL but NA as well. I think this will be a wake up call. Also, with the fact that CS E-Sports is basically all international other then RMR's I don't think it really matters where the team is. I do agree that Becca we already lost C9 so to lose TL as well sucks but not end of the world

    As an extremely long time TL and NA fan, this doesn't even feel surprising knowing how downhill NA cs has gone over the last couple years. Especially thru the covid era it seemed inevitable that teams would move to EU, it was just a matter of when. However I do hope that complexity handles Elige well and he's able to mentor that team to great heights.
    Its been a WILD few weeks. Cs2 is going to be a completely different scene and its exciting (and sad) to see some of the moves made around tier 1 cs. Dupreeh being benched off vitality was such a shocker to me

    • @chairpersonofthecharlotteh5646
      @chairpersonofthecharlotteh5646 Рік тому

      While NA cs has been rolling downhill ever since the pandemic, I still think and hope NA scene will recover. Atm, you could say NA scene is weaker than the sourh American one, but I don't see it staying that way forever.
      As a European, it's somewhat "amusing," but it's definitely not good for the game in the long run. Big money still lays in 🇺🇸

    • @maekoh
      @maekoh Рік тому

      @@chairpersonofthecharlotteh5646 Yes there's big money in NA, but the csgo scene is a hundred times bigger in EU. With the release of cs2 that gap might close a little bit, but EU I'd call the current home of csgo over NA. Not to mention the tournaments were much lower prize pools than EU qualifiers and region specific events. With complexity being NAs only real team left, NA cs is gonna stay dead for a while. All of the young talent is being developed in EU.
      As much as I want NA teams to succeed, it's not profitable for the teams and the players.
