    Love the show, you guys should change the layout to make the guests feel more comfortable don't have the camera opposite them, i.e breakfast club setting feels more like a social gathering rather than like a TV Interview, it will invoke more comfortable responses from the guests.

      ***** I think it's because she can be more of herself on here than on TBC. She doesn't have to try to impress anyone on NFTR, it's more about getting the truth out of artists than providing them a platform to promote themselves.

    • @Anekix
      @Anekix 9 років тому +1

      So I guess that Empire is not a well known show in the United States and now even here? From what I can see and hear, Estelle has done well for yourself and especially coming from West London where artists are the most selfish with helping one another or opening doors.

    • @ThatWave
      @ThatWave 9 років тому +2

      ***** I don't wanna hate on Estelle because I like her but a cameo on Empire doesn't really disprove my point. Her MUSIC isn't that big out there. She's a known face but since American Boy she aint had a big song or big album. She's low key but congrats to her. Would be better for her to be BIG in the UK than what she is in the US

    • @dayko1329
      @dayko1329 9 років тому +5

      CalmYeWest Dude Estelle is one of our scenes biggest exports. We need to uplift her. She's respected... They've taken to her. She's won awards, She's been featured and she is proud to be British. Rome was not built in one day and the US is massive and massive leaders in all forms of media. Our scene will grow regardless because of the talent but financial success and longevity is intertwined with US appeal.

    • @ThatWave
      @ThatWave 9 років тому

      David Echo "financial success and longevity is intertwined with US appeal." This just isn't true. I promise you artists like Wiley have made more money than Estelle.

    • @dayko1329
      @dayko1329 9 років тому +1

      Wiley is the Godfather of Grime. that quote isn't just about Estelle's success it's a true statement about why we shouldn't downplay crossing over or feel we are too big to try and capitalise on that market. You don't have to, as she said in the interview but her music is not Grime and the biggest fanbase for Grime is the U.K obviously, Canada and China so Wiley doesn't need to be out there and he has made some UK pop hits. but they are two different Artists with different accolades. Wiley has sold more but doesn't have a Global single like American boy and hasn't won a Grammy. Wiley is also an amazing producer. He is probably more respected in his Genre but doesn't have the scope Estelle has because she's in the US. Interesting point though.

    Woooow 😑 these mutha fuckaz said Nicki Minaj is the best female LYRICIST of all time? Do they not know of Lauren Hyll or the Lady of Rage? Pure ignorance or just too much brown nosing.

    Estelle can speak However she wants as along her voice is clear. however this habit of accent switching baffles me. Choose one or speak with your natural/neutral voice. Monie Love does this too.

    Good interview but as far as best Female Emcee they clearly have not heard about #SaRoc she will tear apart any rapper lyrically. Chams is wrong Nicki did not shout out or give respect to Lil Kim first. Birdman used Lil Kim in fact they did a record with each other before she blew. Another thing is Lil Kim's manager helped shaped Nicki's career which is obvious why they have a lot of similarities. I dont care about generation thing that Estelle was chatting about that is political because she does not want to screw her chances working with both artists, It is like saying Justin Biebers fans think he is better than Michael Jackson. Or let's keep it UK it's like saying Boy Better Know are better than So Solid Crew you can't shut down pioneers, Each one teach one.

    People gta realize, americans generally are not geographically savy in that they are borderline clueless as to what goes on outside america. So the idea of a uk rapper would be funny or questionable? Why well there is a perception that england is all countrysides and castles and full of tea drinkers. ..no joke. I myself understand the uk culture given that in toronto we share a very simillar cutlure infused with the west indies. All that said, uk rappers should focus on anywhere but america, if they pop in the states then hooray but it should be noted that with exception to chris brown every genre is let by any artist that is not american. (rihanna, drake, bieber, sam smith, adele, etc)

    • @ToyableGaming
      @ToyableGaming 9 років тому +2

      TNT905 False If "making it" in america isn't a big deal than Rihanna wouldn't need Jay-Z to blow her up, Drake and Justin Bieber would have blow up in canada and not needed Lil Wayne and Usher to help their careers. And also every genres is not lead by a person who is not american like Drake is one of the top rappers with Kendrick Lamar who is american and J Cole whom is also american.
