Ok, Ive watched too many reaction videos to admit but I have never seen one produced this professionally! This intro left me hooked as if I was watching a movie. I also loved how you make your comments about particular parts of the original video while they play in the background rather than pausing it every second like many other reactors do. This was the best reaction experience I’ve had so far by miles!!! I never subscribe after seeing just one video but I’ll make an exception here. AMAZING!!!

In the BTS for this video on his Patreon, Ren said he basically edited it in the back of a car with no sound on the way to and back from the recent Bitter Sweet Symphony Live video shoot. Talk about an extreme multi-tasker!

I wanted to add I am a huge fan of PRACTICAL effects.
The usage of practical lighting effects during those flash setups where the choir was established. Not to mention how detailed they were adding FOLEY sfx to the footsteps of rens feet, the chair sliding in...REN sound design is 🔥 those spot lights that set the Cinematic Stage! Sound shound always be #1 priority during any production....REN & SAM, Josh absolutely covered all the above. Much respect to them and the cast/crew. I wish i could of gone more into detail with the sound/lighting/design...not to mention the acting from REN, Kujo/girlfriend characters...top tier 🙌

The pig mask, as far as I know is left up to our interpretation but I view it as every time you see a person in the pig mask, it is meant to symbolize the "system pigs" in this world.

Ren hasn’t really defined what the pig represents but it seems to be symbol of whatever “adversity” is at play at the moment: greed, sickness, depression, etc. Ren has mentioned it represented something that is ever present and familiar, which is why it is so recurring in his videos.

Pig Mask = Greed and sickness - you need to watch this a few times to get all of the layered nuances. Pig Mask is a call back to one of his favorite books - Animal Farm - greedy pigs. Ren is a full hands on producer. Such an amazing soul. Entering his Super Saiyan era. Those weights are coming off, he's gonna FLY! Great breakdown. RENEGADES RIDE!

But good news! The original Sick Boi music video is back up … for now at least. UA-cam recognized that it was an inappropriate copyright strike from Kujo. It’s unclear whether it will stay up permanently. Ren might replace it with the re-recorded version he’s working on that will be part of an anniversary re-release of the album

The mask is a reference to the book animal farm. If you haven’t done animal flow by REN I would highly suggest it.

The pig mask origionally featuring in hi ren, represents the doctors/nurses who failed him, but its been a recuring character who pops up in a few other works briefly, not in a specific context except as that character- and I think you could say in that way, it represents the whole sick boi album too - almost the album mascot.

I was really looking forward to your reaction bc I knew you'd love the cinematography in this one. After watching a ridiculous amount of reactions to this, with people freezing the video several times, I have come to the conclusion that Ren directed this so it would look like a piece of art (such that you might see in a museum) bc (my theory) he wanted to make the point that he considers that music a piece art akin to a old master. So by taking his art down, it was like slashing a Caravaggio for example. I think this theory could be supported by the fact Ren has asked his more artistic fans to paint a particular frame he chose in oil paints (one where the choir is dead on the floor). You can see it in how he positioned the 'bodies'. Anyway, that's my theory 😅 Glad you enjoyed this one. ❤

NGL Chewy Stole the Show in the Intro! Sorry Jesse 😂The only other track I've seen Ren get this "Animalistic" is ironically..."Sic Boi", which was his outrage towards the inept medical system and again ironically the greed of the music industry. "Sic Boi" is Back! Ren wins in the end!! Sidenote: The Pig Mask has a few different meanings for Ren, first and foremost...Greed, also is his Dark companion, which you will see in tracks like Murderer and Illest of your Time.
