Yes, I share your view with a very high percentage others. It is not unanimous, though. I have listened to all the episodes multiple times and I like to hear others’ take on their interpretation as well. It makes me appreciate Bob Bailey so much more.
That bugged me, too! I think, in the beginning at least, he was saying “San Pietro” (Italian spelling of Peter), but the name of the town was made up for the show. (I had to look it up.) Since the show was recorded in L.A. at the time, I’m sure they knew about San Pedro, pronounced the weird English way, San Pee-dro.
@@mariehayes8358 Yeah, I kept hearing San Pietro as well. I think sometimes for the small town affairs, they made up the name, but for big towns like New York and LA, they used the real cities. But, I'm no scholar, just my observations.
