This woman is so offensive. And whether they want to admit it or not, they do prey on the vulnerable. One year ago, I found out I had cancer and I hid away and didn’t share my struggles with anyone besides my close family, it was the lowest I had been in my life. Months later during the colorectal cancer awareness I decided i would share my story in hopes that one person would take screening early seriously. All it took was for a “friend” of mine who is a beach body “coach” to try and poach me because I needed this for my health. Without know my full story, I was still recovering from a full stomach surgery and that my cancer is a genetic mutation and not my health choices. I had never been so furious over people like this

This whole “the MLM didn’t cause the depression” was ridiculous. I am a therapist. I just saw someone that their job is 100% the contributing factor to their mood concerns and we had the talk about “no job is worth your mental health.” They are very, very successful. So yeah, you can be successful and still have depression from the work you’re in.
After watching a lot of anti-MLM content, the psychology of it is so interesting. I for sure agree it’s culty and preys on the vulnerable. I really hate how they get people to share their traumas at their “retreats” and “conferences.” I also don’t like that they encourage people to share their trauma to make sales. Not everyone is in a place to do that. This is causing serious harm.
That's so true. She says that the girl's depression wasn't caused by the MLM then goes on to make the "that's like blaming HVAC businesses for causing your depression" argument. Yet, MLM huns love to look down hard on regular jobs. The narrative to entice people to join is often "Do you hate your 9-5 job? Join us and you can work whenever you want!" So there they are heavily suggesting your 9-5 is making you miserable. Yet it's impossible for Monat to have made this girl depressed? These arseholes are just narcissistic bullies because they're constantly finding a way to blame the victim.

I mean, I'm a general manager of a multi-million dollar business. I hire, fire, schedule, manage payroll, manage inventory, do stock counts, deal with the public, handle almost every issue that comes up within the building. but I am definitely not a business owner! I don't make more if the business makes more, etc etc. and if I quit or get fired the business would continue as if nothing ever happened
My parents have a small business and only the two of them work in it. Every month they are obligated to pay themselves a "salary" since they are still workers in their OWN business. I have not seen a single hun pay themselves anything, it is always how much they get from the company... but sure... they think they are small business owners.

This girl is absolutely delusional. My mother was in an MLM in the late 2000's she was at the top and made a lot of $$ but when the recession hit she lost her house, car, customers, money everything. No savings because all the $$ you make has to be "invested" right away she was extremely depressed, stressed and had a stroke because of it all. So don't tell me MLM's don't cause depression.

Exactly. When MLM huns say that they want to make $1 million so that they can be rich, I’m just like you understand that income does not equate to wealth? Income is just income. Wealth comes from your assets and what you own and what you’re invested in. You can make $5 million a year all day long but that doesn’t mean you’re rich if you ain’t got anything. So you leave your kids $1 million when you die. That’s not really going to mean as much as if you were to leave properties, a couple homes, investments, vehicles etc. that takes much more than $1 million and much more time than five or six months in an MLM. I think they forget how expensive funerals are. I haven’t seen people blow through as much money as you have, but in high school you have kids in your class or in other grades that receives settlements from accidents, family members, etc, one kid had about 800,000 and he blew it in three months.

This video by "bro" girl is one of the most unprofessional mlm vídeos I've seen. And I've seen a lot of mlm content on the anti mlm platforms.
It's so bizarre how much they defend MLMs. You'll never catch me going this hard for my place of work if someone says they don't like it.
I teach middle school. This girl talks like she never passed the grade I teach. She is so young and so closed off to learning, so immature. I’m so glad I don’t know anyone like this in real life.
Since we know that these girls buy ranks and justify the purchases as business expenses and to be used for giveaways and samples, she has no foundation to shame the woman.

Truly financially literate people would NEVER sign up for an MLM. Single mom here who hand writes a budget each month. If I can’t cash flow it, it. doesn’t. happen.
But you can make it happen, just stop drinking $4 coffees (which I don't drink to begin with), sell a couple pair of shoes (you mean the $20 pair from Walmart I bought 4 years ago???), ask your family/friends for a loan (no friends to speak of, and family is just as broke as me), or sell blood. Easy peasy. (total sarcasm, btw, but I was actually told this by the person who recruited me)

It’s so funny that this person says that she doesn’t want to have vulnerable people, she wants people who are “all in” and who are “hustlers”. But if you’re a vulnerable person and life has been really hard to you, you want to be able to say that that’s the kind of person you are-that you’re strong and you can hustle and you can control your situation. And if someone insinuates that all you have to do to prove that you’re that person is join their MLM, then they’ll do it, and your tactics encouraged them to do so. So yes-you’re exploiting their vulnerability, whether you say you’re “looking” for vulnerable people or not. This is infuriating.

They also say there is no way to get into that much debt if reps work hard yet there is a mlm out there that you go into 5000 dollars worth of debt when you sign up… what? (I know that company changed but it’s so frustrating)
That's what really got me, she was so caught up on the $5000 number and completely missing any context as to what was actually meant by it.
"She can't buy a house because she 'lost' $5000. LOL." No, she messed up her credit by going into debt, which in turn makes it hard for her to find housing.
"Who spends $5000 on product before they're even making any money?" She never said that was all on product. It could have been other business expenses, like conference, party favors/food/supplies/etc. for possible in home parties, shipping and/or travel expenses to deliver products, etc. How does she know?
"No one's telling you to spend money before you're making money." Uh, my uplines encouraged us to buy items for giveaways and incentives before our first sales because offering them encourages more sales. Virtually everyone tells you you have to spend money to make money.

When I hit my absolute mental low and had to go to a psychiatric hospital for several months, it was because of problems at work. Just thinking about the MLM business model is giving me anxiety, of course the constant stress and pressure can lead to mental health issues. It's hard to believe this girl has suffered from depression and doesn't know that triggers are a thing.

I've worked for a tax prep company, a couple telemarketing jobs, and almost got hired into what I think was a vaguely veiled credit card scam operation and NO ONE I met at these orgnaizations had to try this hard to defend themselves. Like I've been in some UNPOPULAR positions but nobody acted like this....
Who else remembers back in high school around 11th grade when you go talk to your guidance counselor about your future. Who remembers the GUIDANCE COUNSELOR saying if you want to be successful you need to join an MLM ?? Cause I sure as shit don’t remember that. I guess they let me down the wrong path in life .. my dream of being a millionaire in an MLM 😩.. damn

So if someone says these things and finds them to be true, than they didn't lie. They are either giving facts or giving their opinion. The lawsuit would be lost. There is a reason why these cases are almost never won.
