It takes some practice, but to it helps to follow where the rings are and to remember where the hidden mines are. Sonic Rush Adventure is similar as it’s mainly the 7th chaos emerald Johnny race and 7th sol emerald (Big Swell Rematch on harder setting) which are tough and prevented other players from getting the true ending so it takes practice to beat.

As much practice as it takes; I tested this game on emulator and I didn’t have nearly as much control and took me multiple tries in stream even with balloons but managed without having to revisit the Act stage again thankfully but it can be done.

Yeah, you can only go Super in the Extra story and unlimited boost and invulnerability is as close to Super as you will get here (minus higher speed and ability to fly).
It’s just like forces except your speed remains the same; if it increased speed, it would pretty much change the face of speedrunning some of these levels.
This stage is probably the most disliked in the entire Sonic Rush Series given the spike in difficulty, but I'm glad you enjoyed what you can do here with a lot of practice. It does feel a bit strange that though Sonic can normally jump over the mines, over here he has to rely on homing attacking enemies to clear the entire row of them as well as reaching certain springs.
Similar to in Sonic Advance 1, on Special Stage 7, I got 199/200 rings and ended up losing. I yanked the cartridge out. I eventually got it, I never want to do that again

And don't believe me if you want, but I one shot it again. But I dunno, maybe it's because I'm playing on the 3DS, and the controls are better than in the DS. (Sorry about my bad English)

@@paulo547 I’ve mentioned in the previous comment that taking the balloons would take more real time; As special stages are required for 100% and goes by RTA (Real Time Attack), it is better to not use balloons to save time.
I know this video is very very old but i share my experience with this special stage the beginning is what destroyed my run in the seventh special stage a lot it took like how many times to finish this stage but when i made it i was so happy to finally get the last chaos emerald getting them all is no easy feet its easier with blaze to get her emeralds but i was very glad i made it and got the extra zone good times :D
The super transformations look very cool and I think it’s the best transformation cutscene of All 3 Rush games. The boss however isn’t easy to speedrun as the attacks are random, especially as Sonic when you have to knock back projectiles and aim on the go and Blaze to shoot fireballs and once she’s charging it, you don’t have much control in movement yet still better than the Sonic part.
Idk how the hell I did this as a kid. Trying now feels impossible. But to be fair I did it with a stylus on my 3ds as a kid, now I’m doing it with a mouse on a pc and the game tends to lag in the special stage sometimes so it ruins my flow 😭
Best to do Special Stage 7 at the end of Dead Line Act 2 and there's even the previous gravity room where you can build up tricks to try again. This should help in case of an event of a game over.

I don’t think there are any other differences; the easy mode is to reduce the unpredictable RNG for full game runs and it doesn’t test the players skill.
i remember my friend ended up getting this game and he could clear everything but this stage i had beat it already and it took me like 30 mins to beat it for him...sega was on some shit

i just got 319 rings and lost, the pain in my heart...
It's worth it to get to the true ending when you complete it the pain is over and the music returns to normal rather than strained.

It certainly takes some getting used to, but as long as you don't give up, you can only get better until you beat it and make it to the true ending.
The worse part is when you finally beat if then you get a game over so you have to do it all over again
