In Ghana 🇬🇭 the GA tribe all over Ghana celebrate a festival called HOMOWO, it is a festival that hoots at hunger! The traditional singers in this video are from that tribe!! When you come to Ghana in August you can celebrate with us to hoot at hunger!

Fufu is originally from the 🇬🇭Akan word Fufuo which means white. The colour which is called Fufuo/Fitaa in Twi Fufu/Foofoo again means mash.
Fufu is originated from Ghana 🇬🇭 and is originally pronounced "fufuo" any other so-called fufu that isn't pounded in a mortar but stirred in a pot on fire 😂is a photocopied fufu. Fufuo is traditionally pounded in a mortar with a pestle.

@@NWUDI but the word fufu is originally Ghanaian. Its just being used by everyone now. It's historically a Ghanaian word but it's been popularized. Just like other words in Africa are being used by others
@@theoriginalAlaya the name in Nigeria was originally from yoruba tribe, just like when you invent something and gave it a name.. ibos call it akpu, hausas call it a different name, and other tribes too call it different names but the yoruba name for it is more popular in Nigeria. I don't know where you people get the narrative of fufu being a ghana name.
Ghanaians have diverse cultures and festivals. For example this dance is called Kpalogo and it's performed by the Ga and the Ga Adamgbe people of Accra. And their festival is call Homorwo festival. The Ashantis have Adowa and the festival is Adai. The Dagomba people of Northern Ghana 🇬🇭 have the fire festival and their Dance is Damba, just to mention a few so each region has its own food festival and dance...

This is FUFU!!!… all others are just swallow. It seems saying everything balled is fufu has become a trend, it’s not! Fufu is traditionally an Asante dish but enjoyed all over Ghana and now the world.
It's mainly an Akan dish not Ashante or you are not part of Akans anymore.

Fufu is from the Akan word which is fufuo which means white. The original fufu from Ghana which is made from cassava and is eaten with soup not stew as the Nagerias do. The one from Nigeria is banku not fufu as they call it and they eat it with stew not soup.
