Came to say thank u so much for ur video. Started my prop box 2 weeks ago, with 3 different plant cuttings and they have all sprouted roots and/or new leaves.
Easiest propagation I’ve ever done! Thanks so much!

Thank you for the video. I recognized your voice from your videos you've been posting recently. I had no idea it was one of your videos since this one it's from 5 years ago.
I'm trying to get my garden going and I'm having a hard time getting everything I need; mixing the right soil, shade etc. I need to learn how to prepare the soil for vegetables, strawberries and roses.

My 50 pound play sand today was $3.34.at Home Depot. The classic bed would be a Nearing Frame for hardwood cuttings.

I don't know why but I don't like throwing the containers coming in pasties or tv dinner trays in recycling bin because I know there's uses for them.

Hmmm, and if my back garden is just...well, "sand"? Can I rake up, clean to rinse off the leaf bits, and use?

  • @chadvollrath1760

Ok. I have several bags of the 60lb graded course sand from lowes. Tubesand I used for weight in the bed of my truck. Wanted to know if it's OK to use for propagation because I have lots. I heard it has to be rinsed and not sure whether this sand I mentioned csn be used

Messaged the company and they said it's been rinsed. No issues.

You have a question how often and how well do you have to water the sand so you don't wind up with root rot

Hi when starting seeds in sand in trays do you wait until all the water is gone or do you just keep a small amount in the bottom of your tray

Could this be used for growing microgreens?

Does anyone know on average how long sand rooting propagation like this may take . I do understand that different plants may take different time to root so just an average time is fine based on your experience .

I have not tried this method and always use water with success but I've this idea. I have heat Matting, lights and a small greenhouse I got at lowes. Can't wait. Just need to get humidity up a bit when I do. Mite just cover with a clear plastic to create green house affect if I need more.
