It’s cool! The only thing that i’m afraid of is that it may be harder to control the buttons for some games. You know, touch screen is way more different than using a real ps controller. Btw, thanks for sharing this bro.

I have provenance installed from my N64 emulator... you telling me i can't use that for Ps1 too?..
Linus Knight you should be able to play anything that Provenance allows, you have to select what system that game is for, I believe it’s in options, not entirely sure. This app allows about 4-5 different systems

I have iOS 12.4.1 because I’m on iPhone 6s Plus and apple doesn’t want to release the damn update. I did everything in this video and got silent Hill to run perfectly fine but there is no joystick option like other emulators. And the directional pad the thing you’d have to press to move and play the game is broken like the up button is stuck or something because the cursor at the start is constantly moving between start game and options. When I press start game I get past all the cutscenes and Harry starts walking in circles because the d pad is messed up. I’ve tried everything and nothing works. I don’t know if it’s the rom or Provenance itself but I’ve tried multiple ROMs and every one does the same thing. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know:’(
Bruce - I’m sorry maybe you can link a controller with Bluetooth? I believe you could do that somehow. Hope that game or others works for you
xx D3V xx thanks for the reply. I actually have an iPhone 6s not 6s plus that’s why I don’t have iOS 13.00 but I’m gonna upgrade. I really hope connecting my PS4 controller through Bluetooth fixes the problem for the Silent Hill Rom especially for Provenance emulator

Yes, it’s within the Provenance settings. Not exactly sure where within it, but I’ve used it before trying to connect my controller when I first downloaded it.
Such a genius! It works! But what about ROMs, that has a multiple disc? I’ve downloaded Final Fantasy IX disc 1-4 tried to load it but it says “Please install .m3u file”

I was able to do everything and was playing for an hour and I closed the provenance app and on my lunch break I wasn't able to open the provenance app now:( it says it the developer can't be trusted but I already trusted it and was able to play:( I'm running iOS 10 on an iPhone 6 do I have to upgrade it to 12? Please I need help:(
Bunny Dexter - you must provenance and reinstall it. The app gets revoked and removed sometimes due to Apple catching on

Bunny Dexter - if it’s saved to your iCloud it should be yes. If you didn’t save it to the cloud I doubt it’ll still be there.

xx D3V xx well to be more specific it says I need to make. M3u file and have all 4 disks in it before putting it in the provenance application but idk how to do that on mobile. That’s the only way to play multi-disc games.

You have to decompress the rom when you compress it already. When its in a .zip file share it to the app.

Felix Garcia - hmmm. Not sure maybe in the settings you can change some controls?
That game requires dual shock controller. You move character using the analog, change weapon using D-pad. That's how the game was set, sadly. Since Ape Escape is the only PSX game that use ALL the buttons available in the controller.
How to change the pads to analog controls?

Anthony jap - I’ve noticed many many sites with (paid games for free) are all revoked and have been for awhile now. Try messing with it, try pressing it to start installing. I think it also depends on your update and device.
Nah if it doesn't work trying again doesn't matter its because of some asshole that thinks telling Apple about these websites are funny.
What about multi disc games like Metal Gear Solid I get an error message that says I need EMU file. I've seen how mac/PC users resolve the issue cuz they can edit folders & file names. How do I make these changes on my iPad?

Anto - 2:50 is what you’re talking about? You have to download the files that’s in the description and send those files to Provenance before you can open the PS1 games.
xx D3V xx dude, I did everything step by step, still no result. Once the download was done I exported the downloaded rom in Provenance, when it appears “extraction is complete” the rom doesn’t even appear in the library, so yeah
Anto - hmm. That’s odd. Try downloading the files first then download the games. If that doesn’t work try searching it in the app itself. I’ve never encountered this issue before.
Make sure it’s the right selected game. It only plays PS1 and a few others. Maybe that game you’re downloading no longer works and doesn’t have the right files anymore. I’ve downloaded a few games that didn’t work in the past.

Yeah I’ve tried it on other devices going from IOS (9.0 to 11.3) so those definitely work. It still works on my device too. Very strange

Mikey Mortis Cedillo - it might be currently revoked by apple. Which if it is it’ll take a day or two to be reuploaded to their site. If the site doesn’t work just search up ‘Provenance for iPhone’ you should get links and sites.

It’ll show it downloading on the bottom of chrome. Once done you open it with Provence like I did in this video.
