You’re not whining Chris, you’re stating the factual realities of raising livestock and farming and it’s bloody hard work! I’m in Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 and our weather has been right screwy. Having temperatures of 4C and 2 days later -31C! By the way that hedge is gorgeous, well done!❤❤
Love the cows especially the Heilan coo, have loved her since you had her, I do love blonde heilan coos. Can you breed her with a heilan ( ivf style) therefore having a better selling calf? Love to the 3 of you from Sunny Scotland 🏴 ( yes I’m biased when it comes to coos 😜).
With the good price sheep are making at present id say now is the time to sell if you are intending to reduce your numbers good video by the way love seeing Indy and the ducks 😊
Morning, -a balmy 13 here in nova scotia, we are plagued with white tail deer(17-20) on some fields at a time. They decimate the clovers, forbs and legumes we grow to increase feed quality for the cows/ sheep. As a bonus they carry/spread a brain worm fatal to sheep. If things are a bit tight sell the whole second bunch. You will soon find a new favorite and if the price is good..... Highlands have their place but it may not be at your farm. The Sussex look great and even the difficult one was pretty good to be fair given your handling yard. A consistent group of cattle will always do/sell better in years to come. Stay warm. kevin from nova scotia.
Is hard finding enough cover crops for sheep during winter, the grass seems to of not lasted aslong as other years, doesn’t help when pesky deer eat it also. Is there any farms coming up to rent near you? As I think that’s what you need
Breaker of things... please, for your own sake, don't fiddle with the settings In the name of Thor, we can deal with the road noise vs youbreaking your camera somehowl mao

Hi Chris, the scenery is beautiful with all the frost. Great work on the hay bales. Please strap your wrist up. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sending much love, enthusiasm and forage prospects from Australia - here's hoping for a freezer full of well fed venison
Maybe Tom Permberton would buy your highland cow?
