If I recall properly, the vehicle mode for either HFTD Tomahawk or DOTM Skyhammer (or possibly even both) were actually modeled on the attack helicopters from the Patlabor franchise. Weird decision, but what’s neat is that both figures roughly scale with the old Bandai 1/60 Patlabor model kits. So…that’s definitely a weird cross over no one knows about or asked for. Still neat tho.
This was my first toy for gift when it was my 10th bday Now I'm 19 and I'm on the hunt to buy this figure for the nostalgia. Cause god knows where the old figure is
Fantastic review Jcc2224!!! I still have Tomakawk, and he remains not only one of my all time favorite figures from the Hunt for the Decepticons line, but he also remains one of my all time favorite helicopter Transformers. :D Keep on being amazing.
I feel ya. During 2020 I went on a full Unicron Trilogy hunt instead of purchasing Earthrise, Siege or SS figures. It was just that. Unicron Trilogy figure after another. Some Beast Wars figures, too. And tbh...modern mainline figures do not interest me one bit. Optimus Primal, Megatron, Dinobot, Blackarachnia did interest me in Kingdom, Doubledealer, Slitherfang and Airwave did in Earthrise and some figures I wanted in Siege. Stinger and helicopter Dropkick are basically the only SS figures I own. I like what they are doing for Legacy but I am not planning to get any figures from it. I am waiting for them to reveal a Legacy Flamewar from the TFP Arcee since they have the mold and they should redeco it. Legacy Airachnid would also be nice to give us a proper, better Airachnid figure. But yeah...2020-2021 was like a major old toy hunt for me. ROTF Bludgeon, some Beast Wars Neo figures, Beast Machines, RID 2001 and up until this day I am still purchasing the older figures over the mainline figures.
Thanks for the review. While I have my sight on a few Legacy toys like Bomb Burst and Tarn but I have been buying some of the past toys! Mainly because I was broke and had the stupid mindset that "toys are for kids". Just now I got back into my inner child and discovering how cheap they are on Ebay, well on certain toys! Right now I can see a bid on Tomahawk for £10 and also Skyhammer for the same price aswell so I can't decide which one to get? I'm leaning toward Tomahawk mainly cos he is easier to transformed!
So what? Hunt for the Decepticons/RotF is one of the greatest toylines, still holds up. Hailstorm, Mindwipe, Bludgeon/Banzaitron, Terradive, Tomahawk, those sea attack guys.
Yo, I had this when I was a kid but left it behind when I moved countries and my dad got his hands on the same figure at a thrift shop nearby but its missing parts
You should a top ten list of your favorite figures from transformers that are of like the most obscure and or 1 off characters from a line like tomahawk for example uwu
@@Jcc2224 that there would be awsome after all in my opinion hunt for the decpticons had like the best random obscure character figures like again tomahawk and highbrow and ect.
man I feel so good that the legacy line does nothing good for me.Since everything is just a remold or repaint of older figures plus they very expensive nowdays for no good reason other that Hasbro likes our money .I'm gonna save my money for now
i really like this ifugres mould however i just cant get over the headsculp.. i dont like it at all it just doesnt fit the body for me.. maybe a more whirl like head wouldve been better
This is salt in the wounds, I've been looking for one for 3 years so I can make an idw whirl. Why are they so hard to find!!!????!!!!?? Also, something new and unique and different is literally how they described legacy, and then it was just g1 and a tarantulas. And dont even say prime because they're just g1 figures, lazy lazy lazy
G1 is the best. Plus if you don't customize then you don't do much with your figures. I've started a repaint for arcee to make my own character and another repaint for transmutate.

tomahawk did generations before generations became a thing
His head has to be my favorite head design it just looks so cool
I just got tomahawked!!!
I literally have this guy, I have no idea where his missiles are though. I've always liked him, easy to transform and a fairly good looking figure

So good that he's repainted as Vortex, Springer and Spinister.
Can't stop! He's just a solider!

Not a bad idea! Honestly I've been loving the Hunt for the Decepticons line in general... maybe I'll make a video just on it!

They are all new molds pretty much, the G2 Optimus is an extensive retool of the earthrise
