It's a pleasure to watch your hook sets. Very well done, Mike! Your flies are doing the job on local streams here, can't wait for the new ones to come out this fall. Thanks for the great commentary, too. Mike
Thanks Mike and I'm glad to be able to go out and do a little self filming and share it with anyone looking to see how we fish. Best of luck on the water to you.
Love the livelylegz nymphs my mom ordered me a bunch of flies from your website about a month ago I got black hares ear nymphs, pheasant tails, and the little black stoneflys and I've cought tons of rainbows and browns the pheasant tail nymphs kinda get banged up after 50 fish or so but the hares ear and stonefly are super durable and can take a beating from snags and fish I'm sold on the flies you guys keep catching em and keep tieing those flys they work all over the country
Great video again! I just started fly fishing last year trying to teach myself. I’ve been catching a few fish but nothing like you, gets a little frustrating sometimes. Keep the videos coming.
Hey Jake, Thanks so much and hang in there. I have good and slow days just like anyone else. On the slow days I have learned a lot of tricks over the years from trying new things and I'm trying to bring those to the videos so others can see them and hopefully pick up a few to try. Best of luck and I hope you continue to learn and enjoy the sport.
Nice video Mike.. I have fished with Mike and tied a few of the New Pattern. Magical stuff.. This Pattern will produce fish even the most pressured streams. In Central Pa.. Keep up the Great Work.. Wild Man Outttttt...
That looks like a killer pattern! Need to get some of the silli legs. Thanks for the video Mike. Any chance for a tying video on how you tied those?? lol
Hey Gary, They are actually both Lively Legz and Grizzly Micro Legs. We are going to sell everything to make this pattern by the end of the week so stay tuned and best of luck on the water. We will have a video soon.
You said that if you can’t get far enough into the run to tight line nymph, you’ll put on an indicator. How far away is too far to tight line nymph, and under what other conditions do you use an indicator?
Hey Steven, that water was deep and I couldn't get a great drift without an indicator and usually when we get to a slower deep pool that is holding fish we throw on an indicator and it does the trick. It keeps the nymphs moving and mending is much needed to keep a nice drift on longer pools. I think everyone has a different comfort level with how far away from their body they can effectively nymph and whenever we feel that we need that little more reach we throw on the indicator. Some people never do, but we have noticed an advantage sometimes with the indicator so we will still use them in certain water. I hope this explains it a little better and I hope you are enjoying some time on the water.
Hey Mike, great video. I'm a newbie to the sport and seeing how you find fish and the techniques you used is a big help. One question -- I saw you used what looked like a pink stretch of line; that's something I've never seen before, was that just for video purposes or does it act as an indicator to help see when there's a strike? If it's useful as an indicator, how do you rig it up?
Hey Bob, Check out Benny P's video of the nymph leader on stream from a couple weeks ago. It will show you how we use that line and yes, it's for strikes. Best of luck on the water and email us anytime at livelylegz@gmail.com if you have any questions.
Thanks for the video, Mike. It's excellent, as usual. Could you tell me exactly what brand of sighter material you use (and its diameter)? Thanks, Alex
Hey Mike, sent you a few emails with no response, I am not on Facebook anymore so I lost Messenger. I was just wondering if you received the trout cards I sent you?
Hey Nick, that is one of our 3.0 tungsten beads on our 720 size 12 barbless hook. I also use some lead to keep the bead in place and add some weight. I hope this helps and best of luck on the water.
I'm so glad I ordered a pile of those. you're making it look to easy. beautiful river and fish

Do you have a video showing your string/leader setup?
When you switch from Euro/Tight Line nymphing to indicator nymphing, do you re-rig to a standard leader or put the indicator on your sighter leader?
Nice video mike! These flys work so well it's my second year fishing with them and can't wait to get more for next season!
It would be great if you went over some casting techniques for nymphing!
It's easy bro..just do what he does..you are only flinging out 10 to 12 ft of line including your tippet.
lots of hookups and very entertaining to watch! great job mike
Thanks Donnie and we hope all is well.
Great video Mike, you sure make it look easy, glad to see you had a great day on the stream, those nymphs sure are killers.
Thanks Len! They do the trick and soon we will have them and all the materials to make them available.
Excellent video Iron Mike! Thanks a million!
Thanks Greg!
Great video! I have learn a ton from you guys, thank you!!

What do you call your new flies?
Thanks for the video and the great products.
Thank you Big O!
Hey Mike, are you using sinking line, or floating? Need to get me some of your flies!

Good video, it is always good to be reminded of what I forgot, thanks! What stream were you on?

Awesome video. If you dont mind me asking what size bead/hook are you fishing to get these flies down to the fish in the high water?
Hey Nick, that is one of our 3.0 tungsten beads on our 720 size 12 barbless hook. I also use some lead to keep the bead in place and add some weight. I hope this helps and best of luck on the water.

Great job
Thanks Devin and best of luck to you this season.
I love when they hit when you go to re-cast haha
