If you think that's heavy try the scag 30 inches that thing weighs a ton! Also if you're halfway handy I suggest switching the spindles and pulleys out with commercial
@@kamrickbrewer4928 I actually bought a scag and sold it after about 15 hours use for a loss I hated that thing. I put the commercial pulleys on all of the residential toros as soon as we buy them. Saw a UA-cam video on it a while back. I only replaced the small pulleys though seems that the larger spindles hold up fine for me.
Every electric lawn care equipment video has this same comment so let’s apply the same logic to gas. If your gas mower runs out of gas in an hour and a half are you done for the day? No you add gas and in this case you swap batteries. Yes your going to have to have a mobile charging setup to do that but it requires one main battery in the truck/ trailer.
Sounds good.... but, I'm currently not impressed with battery powered Toros. This is my second season mowing our 50 x 100 using a 60 volt max super recycler with a 7.5 battery. There's a small house, one car garage, 10x16 shed and a one lane driveway, so there's not a lot of grass. The fact that it is quite is nice and if I have the time to mowe offen enough that I'm not cutting much off I can get it all done on the economy setting with the performance blade on one charge and it will look OK, but if it gets long, even on max it just can't compare to the cut quality of the gas powered recyclers and especially the super recyclers I had for many many seasons years ago. If I run in to a good deal on a used gas recycler or super recycler, there's a fine chance I would buy it !

Not this homeowner, that would get half the work done. Gas mowers don’t pollute enough to justify toxic batteries that degrade with each use. I’m sure it’s quite but I got swamp grass to mow so noise is less important than “eco bs”
Wish it could get longer run time but I have to admit I love cutting early and not having to worry much about noise ordinance issues. Need something a little bigger than my Ego push mower for personal use.

Here is the deal. Anyone that knows of the Turfmaster HDX, it is extremely hard to maneuver in the turns and to turn around due to the ridiculously changed transmission from the NON HDX version. The transmission bites in with such force much like the posi-traction of an automobile that the design didn't much take into consideration of how well the mower would handle. People were complaining about the power from the engine so Toro changed up the tranny. The model before (22200) is heads and shoulders more particle to use in typical lawns. I can control going around a tree or tree ring with one hand if I wanted or needed to. Impossible with the HDX of which the user is "FIGHTING" with constantly except using in the straight aways. My Model weighs about 170 lbs. and the HDX feels heavier. Now,...... if Toro makes a battery version, and it already handles like the current gas HDX, the headaches of switching out batteries could take the operator over the top. Having said that, the 21" Revolution HD model 22282 is a sturdy battery version of the gas version amd DOES handle well which could make the decision to work with a more enjoyable mower even if it is 9" less in width. And........... that mower, comes with the problem of a real brick and mortar dealer to have one available to sale.

And these are the same guys, much younger, that use these money makers day in day out, all day. Typically 62 year olds in a crew situation is not the typical image most people have for productivity. Not buying this with belt drive. Electric mower, electric drive. Belts are for amateurs, used to love toro and they’ve had this tech for decades in golf. It’s frustrating and disappointing to see them dropping the ball so badly

From what I see this push mower and a few others are going to really compete with gas next year as far as performance but yes runtime will be what they claim 1.5 hours so additional batteries will be needed
1.5 hrs run time if the grass is dead, if its really long probably like 20 to 30 mins but this would be fine if you have a second set of batteries charging up to swap out. Just crazy expensive on a big mower and is it "green" definitely not.
Hopefully it weighs less than the gas model. We use the residential versions because the commercial weighs too much
