The 2023 Avanza is FWD. Just like the Ertiga. Dimensions of both these vehicles are similar too. So I think India will be better off sticking to the Rumion rather than tooling up for a whole new product and loosing the cost advantage. If Toyota lends its awesome 1.5 liter, 3 cylinder full hybrid engine to the Rumion, should do.
