The size difference comes only because of Bumpers, Claddings and Roof Rails. Since you didn't slide and recline the seat of 2nd row the same way you did it to Ertiga, it's looking spacious but interior length is exactly the same. Please take care of it. Thanks.
In the Ertiga you reclined the second row backrest and in the XL 6 you didn't recline the second row back rest angle that's the reason you got more space in the 3rd row of the XL 6. Space wise both Ertiga and XL 6 are ditto the same dimensions change due to the cladding, bumpers and roof rails, that's all. Only features for which Nexa is charging Rs 3L premium is ventilated front seats, 360 deg camera and leatherette seat cover and second row captain seats and LED head and tail lamps. That's rather steep even by Maruti/Nexa standards... Best would be to go for the Ertiga and use the 3L elsewhere or on accessories and plush seats.

No. Length of the vehicle is increased only because of bumpers and cladding. No difference inside the vehicle. He didn't recline and slide the front seat as equally as he did for Ertiga. Not a fair comparison and his information is misleading.
Test drove XL6 3 days ago. Quite underpowered and AC not much effective. In fact, Grand Vitara was much more enjoyable and fun. Same goes for Fronx (Turbo) except for the fact that windscreen and window area is quiet less

Dimensions are different because of the soft parts - bumpers and cladding. That doesn't change the space you get for 3rd row.
If 5 adults are traveling, then one has to go to third row in XL6 but they can easily manage in two rows of ertiga.

I also observed that second row backrest is not reclined fully in XL6 in this video I saw today.I was going to write this but then I saw your comment.
