Awich is known as the "Queen of Japanese hip-hop". Awich's stage name is short for "Asian wish child" and is a tribute to her Japanese heritage. Awich raps in Japanese, Okinawan, and English, and is known for her seamless transitions between languages. Awich's musical career began in underground clubs in Okinawa, Japan, and she released her debut EP, Inner Research, in 2006. She moved to Atlanta that same year and released her debut album, Asian Wish Child, in 2007. In 2020, she signed with Universal Music Japan and released her major-label debut album, Queendom, in 2022. Awich was born Akiko Urasaki and grew up in Okinawa. She moved to Atlanta for college and married an American man who was murdered in a shooting. She has a daughter named Toyomi.

He is a 3rd generation Zainichi Korean and a notable representative of Zainichi Korean music in Japan.

The MAIN disappointing part for me was not having Chancellor or Year of the Ox on this track seeing how they had credits on the original lyrics. But we'll allow it. As for "liking the original" better, idk i dont think they meant for this to be a better song, they just wanted to give shoutouts to asian hip hop artists I'm guessing... so we dont really need to compare.
