TimmyySykes Obviously eating disorders are very complex and not so simply delt with but I think the message is that even the smallest things can help put someone on the road to recovery
she is in denial about who she is and what she is. Simple. People who have food issues and weight problems have rotten teeth because puking dissolves your teeth with it's acidic nature. Your hair falls out, your skin changes, you become sussepticle to illness as your immune system is damaged. I understand the nature of the film. It's simplicity with it's surrounding environment and stuff. Sad but true. thanks for sharing xJ
So what I've learn't from this beautiful short film was, Don't feel the need to eat less or to stop something that you love for the sake of people's judgements and criticisms. You are breathing for one person, and that is You. So eat that cupcake and carry on with Your Life and Love Yourself ❤️
sometimes the right people, even if you hardly know them are just the right people. And it's not necessarily that she got over her eating disorder, but she felt more comfortable with herself, for at least a fleeting moment. So maybe if she hangs out enough with that girl and has enough of those moments where she isn't worried about her size, then maybe she'll get better.
Catsrule246 She saw herself as fat and unattractive, but when Alex hit on her, and then agreed to go out with her, she realized that wasn't true, and was able to happily eat the cupcake.
+Blake Belladonna I think her bulimia was symbolic of her denying herself what/whom she wants: Alex. She was denying herself sweets, or Alex, or really just women, period. The analogy was really cleverly done... I mean, you see Alex carrying the cupcakes because she IS the cupcake. She is what the girl wants. Idk if that makes any sense :p it's just my interpretation lol
+Blake Belladonna Well twisted points of views aside ( you see what you want to see , i saw a girl finding a friend) i read an example in psychology book that when we are doing something wrong its like we're walking in certain direction. But when we decide to change its like we turn around. Turning around alone doesnt change the fact of what we are. But it enables us to move in a different direction. She didnt suddenly start loving herself but perhaps she thought that maybe in a future she will be able to. And when we se possibility floating we dont feel hopeless and we can go on in life.
This covers a very strong subject matter, and it's done pretty well. The ending seems kind of abrupt though, like it doesn't quite feel like a proper conclusion (understandably it is a short film so maybe I'm being too demanding hahaha)
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but be warned. This video can be triggering to some people. It involves eating disorder (Bulimia) tendencies and has an abrupt happy ending. Stay safe.
Interesting Think it was a short film and how something significant can change your direction Eating disorders very difficult to explore and resolve in the timeframe of this film but cool it at least referenced it here
This really hit me hard. I could relate to about everything Marisa did except for the vomiting part. I've struggled with ednos for a while now and last year, I actually did almost the same exact thing as her. At a birthday party, I took a first step towards beating ednos's ass by actually letting myself eat a cupcake with the support of my friends. Well done, I love this so much.
Was sollte die Szene auf der Toilette darstellen? Hat sie sich übergeben oder konnte sie bloß keinen Stuhlgang haben weil sie von den Süßigkeiten verstopft war? Hab's nicht verstanden im Ernst
Marie violette could be either anorexia or bulimia since it doesn't go in to much detail. vomiting can be a part of either as can restricting. or could be somewhere in between
I like that they used a grown woman aside from the stereotype that only teenage girls have Bulimia
If only eating disorders could be cured so simply
Just was about to say the same 😔
+NeedaHug hi
TimmyySykes Obviously eating disorders are very complex and not so simply delt with but I think the message is that even the smallest things can help put someone on the road to recovery
could please post more
That has to be the poorest looking salad I've ever laid eyes on.

It was depressing in parts, but the ending. Brilliant.

She could have donated the snacks to charity instead of throwing them out😳~ I am right over here~
I thought about that too! Homeless people like junk food as much as anyone else!
Yeah
+GirlParty247 You are but only kind of , on the way she could change her mind few times and lose that moment of strengh and go binge instead.
she is beautiful!
Oh yummy. Cupcakes are the best. It's a little bit of a cake with frosting but miniature. Sooo tasty. They can be spectacular

What was it symbolizing? Was it that she finally just started loving herself in the end? Or something else? Someone please explain.
Catsrule246 I gueeeess @_@

If she thinks she is fat, she must think I'm obese or something because gurl, you have skinnier thighs than me

2:49 - 3:00 me when there's a new kid at school in May

I love this! Great ending!!!!

***** Could you please tell me what "ednos" is Please ? ! Thank you !!
Cajun Spice ednos stands for "eating disorder not otherwise specified".
Thank you ***** , I never heard that term before.
i have binge eating disorders im glad im on the binge eat pill the easy to tell if thank you for posting this video
This is terribly familiar. Such a disgusting feeling.
Adorable.
I don't think that's how that works when you've got such a disorder... but nonetheless, very positive ending.
This was amazing. Absolutely amazing
nice sound editing really wow.....¬¬
I just want her eyebrows
hi
Grace Dupuy hi
And now she has to be vegan.
Woah absolutely awesome
loved the music and acting, but really everything else about this needs more work..
She cnt hav salad dressing. How does she live like that. 😭
Vegans can't eat cupcakes?
I'm pretty sure they have milk and eggs?? not sure though
+anna 2.0 of course you can make vegan cupcakes, but normally there is egg and milk in it, yes^^
Thought this was just beginning just when it ended.

Hab's nicht verstanden im Ernst
ilovetrannyguys übergeben
She's pretty , whats her name
Why not just workout? :P u can eat anything u want as long as u workout afterwards!
technically, not anything. you have to eat in moderation if you want to eat anything.
I don't think you understand eating disorders.
Less you eat more your body stores eat more skinnier eat less fatter oh yea did she purge. She did. WHYYY😭😭😵
Cchristinee mmmm,
Something's that are good are not necessarily bad for you?
this one seemed complicated....and slow
I really didn't like this one, it was too... slow
Candy don't even make you fat
it depends on how much you eat of it. moderation is key.
OTP
I don't understand what was her problem?
No, no. She was Bulimic. Bulimics make themselves throw up. Anorexics just strave themselves.
Marie violette could be either anorexia or bulimia since it doesn't go in to much detail. vomiting can be a part of either as can restricting. or could be somewhere in between
why d women do this??
Men too let's not forget
Estos cortos son pura porqueria!
