- This is a video that shows hotspot situations in a 6-1 positional system that most teams use.
The video shows which players cannot overlap in the various setter-rotations. Watch it again and again to perfect your knowledge of positional fault and when to call them.
This is a tough part of refereeing as a 2nd referee, but studying positions in this video and in real life will better your understanding of when to call a positional fault, and when not to!
Remember before calling out a positional fault you must be absolutely sure; because if you are wrong a replay must be rewarded!
Also, remember that your task is not to judge players out of position by the millimeter it has to be clear to everybody what you called was definitely a positional fault.
3:38 The OP (18) also has to be further from the center line than the OH (7) who went from front right to receive on the left side.
absolutely, this has to be the most common positional fault when setter is in 4. Don't know why the video doesn't mention it.
situation: The center back player had a hand on the floor clearly in front of the feet of his front row player
at the time the ball was contacted for service. He/she had both feet behind the front foot of the center
front player.
question: How many points do the receiving team receive or is this a legal position for the receiving team?
Please support your answer.
no..
It's legal, only the feet count.
WHAT CODE IS THIS? NOT NFHS, NO 7.5.1 THERE.

@@miyaatsumu8538 Thanks a lot bro yesterday only i came to know all the setter rules
a back row setter jump sets in the front zone and hit above the white band of the net by a front row player. . ..is there a fault?
Nope. Only if the setter jumps above the net, contacts the ball, and the ball goes over the net without anyone else on the same team touching the ball first.
Yes
