    Every note in this interpretation gets so much emphasis that the whole thing gets weighty, too loud(!), artificial and even lamentable. Of course, by playing sooooooooo slowly as Celibidache does, you will hear new things. Be assured, if any orchestra would play it even slower than Celibidache does (if, physically, that would be feasible), you will AGAIN hear new things. New things, but no Bruckner.

      - I'll always give Celibidache, Mehta, Furtwängler and the other 7th all credit to pick dynamics at their choices, nowhere near judging as for what I know they are the pros - but here it's taken way too far for my liking or knowledge. I use this interpretation for conducting practise purpose only but it's certainly not what AB had in mind when he put "gezogen" at 13/14 --- OR I just dont know better.
