Best Pierogi in Shamokin PA | Fisher's Boston Pierogies Review

- Fisher's Boston Pierogies in Shamokin, PA is a spot I found online that caught my eye not only for the pierogi, but also because I'd never been to Shamokin, and my curiosity was peaking. And, I can confidently say, after trying a TON of flavors at home, this might be my favorite pierogi thus far on the pilgrimage.
Fisher's Boston Pierogies used to be a steak and seafood joint until it was sold later on to become a major pierogi destination for people all over Pennsylvania and all over the country!
Note: Fisher's Boston Pierogies only offers frozen bags of pierogi you can take home. But, there is a place just minutes down the road called the Dining Room at Sweet Tooth Cafe, where they serve Fisher's Boston rogi hot as seen in this video. I fully understand why people travel near and far for Fisher's Boston Pierogies. They are beyond delicious.

I’ve tried so many different pierogi from Fisher’s Boston at this point! They’re all amazing, but the cheesesteak really is one I’d order again and again and again- outside of the traditional of course! 😉

Finally one that's close enough to me to get!! It's refreshing to see someone saying some nice things about Shamokin, and one thing they do right their is their food.
Also - go to Knoebel's! It's worth the trip for sure!
I’m from Allentown and I grew up on the onion pierogis, and sausage links, we were taught to bite of a corner after the pierogis were fried and the sausage, we put the sausage link in the opening and eat them together it was amazing, and my husband taught my kids to eat them with syrup, I didn’t care for that way. They are amazing any way you try them 👍💯

I knew Mr Fisher. He was our landlord, and he owned the restaurant. His son was working there as well. Old Man Fisher wasn't the nicest guy in the world. However, he did make good food. I didn't think his son would keep the business.
Sheltered raised here lol, I love to get out and drive. As much as I am near Lititz every week I gotta try that Pierogi place you went to.
We went to Koebel's yesterday and we did go through Centralia, Shamokin was not far from where we drove through. Thanks for sharing this video, we drove through Shamokin in past but never knew of this place. I never thought there is a restaurant for Pierogi ha ha, I always thought Pierogi is a frozen item only, we must check this place for sure!!

@@pennsylvaniajunkieYes, Koebel's brings back a lot of memories for my wife and kids and I love the countryside. I plan to go again later this month and then in early October. Hopefully, we will see you some day :)
